My point is that they are practicing against a completely reworked DL.

It reminds me of some recent year (Maybe first year Sark) when we all thought our DL was the strength of the team and going to be awesome only to learn during the season that they, in fact, were a bad DL that had been whooping up on an even worse OL in practices.  Turned out the practice reports were deceiving.

Why would you just assume their DL is not good (maybe you aren’t)?  It’s Ohio st. I’m sure there will be a drop off but if nothing else they will be pretty good based on talent alone. Our OL won’t be as good as last year either.

No way is he ready for this Texas D.  If they can't run the ball, they are toast.  Guess what?  They won't be able to run the ball.

If Arch plays a solid game and doesn't turn the ball over, we win.

i agree with you. However i don’t believe it’s an if . I believe  Arch is going to play his heart out & let his talent shine. we’ve got the support on offense & defensively to carry Arch through any adversity he may face.

He’s bigger than Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray

I don’t think think he has either’s scrambling ability

I never viewed Baker as much of a scrambler but Sayin is definitely more athletic than Baker.

Baker was a pretty athletic qb in college.  He’s no Kyler Murray, but he’s slowed down after a lot of hits in the nfl.  The clips I’ve seen on sayin don’t exactly scream athletic qb, not even in the baker college level.   OSU has an incredible receiving core.  OSU wins the game if they can protect sayin from the best pass rush he will see all season.  If not UT wins the game.

I’m a diehard Cleveland Browns fan as well. It’s 100% correct.

I’ve watched as much Sayin tape as you. And I’ve unfortunately seen a ton of baker. I guess we can agree to disagree

Yeah, I think it’s best that we just agree to disagree. I’ve read every practice report for the past two years, listened to nearly every Ohio State podcast and watched every snap Baker took in the NFL preseason and regular season. I’m not sure where this reputation of Baker being athletic is coming from.

Sounds good man. He has finished in the top 10 for QBs for rushing the past few years. His escape ability is pretty good.

I can definitely agree with you there that Baker, although I wouldn’t call him athletic (comparatively at least), I would definitely agree that he is “sneaky” athletic, or more athletic than given credit for. I think Sayin’s reputation will be very similar once he gets more playing time.

Yeah. You’re saying “Sayin is definitely more athletic” than Baker. I guess we’ll see

we play each other these next two years so we will get to know him well

And for the record, I think Sayin is a better pure passer than Arch.

Ohio st is gonna be ridiculous on offense in 26

There’s a very real possibility Ohio State returns all 11 starters next season.

I think Arch compares very favorably to Trevor Lawrence. How do you feel about that comparison?

Yeah. Ohio St will be pretty season #1 next year.

I think that’s a pretty decent comparison for Arch (off of ability and projection obviously). Trevor had more weapons around him though.

I just remember Trevor breaking off like a 60 yard TD run against Ohio State in the playoffs. Arch’s legs worry me as well.
