All of these are within 15 minutes of I-10 and 99 in Katy. There are many more great spots, but these were the last ones we hit up before moving away.

Brett's BBQ Shop (near Katy Mills Mall), 

Roegels Barbecue Katy (I-10)

Sapore Detroit Pizzeria (off 99 near I-10)

Sul Bing Su (Korean street food - Korean hot dogs and ice cream)

8 ounce Korean Steakhouse (Korean BBQ)

Lupe Tortilla (Best beef fajitas in TX; Three pepper cheese steak if you're feeling frisky)

Also, not in Katy, but if you want some of the best ribs you have ever had, go to Pinkerton's BBQ. You won't regret the drive. Plus, Owner is a massive Horns fan.

Texas Roadhouse, Outback Steakhouse, Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Buffalo Wild Wings, Five Guys, Chuys, or Red Robin.

There’s a sushi conveyor belt place I like- Sushi Sakura I think.

And yes, Lupe is a “chain”, but Lupe is always good (although I don’t love the original one deeper into Houston).

Sushi Hana on Mason is very good.

Little V's on 1463 for Vietnamese.

Tiger Noodle House on Mason is very good Chinese food.

Ray's on Mason for Mexican (Tony's of Ella brother in law).

Mia's on 99 for burgers and chicken fried steak.

Fusion Grill on Mason is good for a good steak at a fair price.

Mezze off Westpark toll road almost to Fulshear is my favorite new restaurant in the area.  Good Mediterranean food.
