Moderators Gerry Hamilton Posted September 2 Moderators Posted September 2 Per a family member, the 4-star++ QB out of Palestine Westwood is scheduled to visit Texas September 20 for the night game vs Sam Houston State And the RRS is also likely. And of course, A&M game (schedule dependent) Junior game one HUDL: http://www.hudl.com/v/2SZ9ud 18 Quote
Glass Joe Posted September 2 Posted September 2 @Gerry Hamilton do you think Bryant’s circle / agents want him to follow in the class after Dia Bell? Or does a path to playing time not matter as much here? Quote
rlluca Posted September 2 Posted September 2 Gerry, how did Max Wright fare against the Don Bosco stud D -lineman last Friday? Quote

Or does a path to playing time not matter as much here? Dont have concrete info on that yet I do know that the family understands there will be a needed development curve for Kavian. He’s close to a sandlot HS QB right now at the level he’s playing at. Too easy for him to just run around and make plays. Hes not having to actually play true QB right now in the context of what he will have to at next level 12 Quote
.45s Posted September 3 Posted September 3 Nice pocket passer. 😆 I hope his offensive line does better and that he scrambles more to get a pass off and not just run so that it will be easier to evaluate him. But, boy can he run. Quote
TheContractor12 Posted yesterday at 09:44 PM Posted yesterday at 09:44 PM Yep, TT, for now at least. $ plus chance to play year 2, ready or not. Quote

Moderators Gerry Hamilton Posted 11 hours ago Author Moderators Posted 11 hours ago Couple of Q's with a 2027 QB for Texas 1. Would you "overpay" if forced for a QB that won't likely see the field for two years? 2. Any 2027 QB considering Texas will have to be comfortable with the possibility of not playing for two years, and being more on the development side early on solely. Don't think too many guys will think like that. 3 Quote

I’d love to see what that negative recruiting pitch looked like. I bet it involved a lot of brochures in the mail from Cody Campbell. Edited 10 hours ago by Assistant Regional Manager Quote

IIRC the 2028 has some kids that we have already shown interest in (and maybe offered?) that will likely be the successor to Bell/Lacey. 1 Quote

Definitely not saying Tech can/will use that but Ohio State, Miami (Ward/Beck), Alabama, and any other top school can/will pull that card Quote

Miami is going to try to tell a HS QB to not trust Texas’ development when Miami has had to go to the portal 3 straight years for a QB? Before Sayin, Ohio State had 3 straight cycles where they QB signee transferred. None of these schools have pristine track records. It’s college football. Trying to say Texas had a QB “only” go in the 7th round of the NFL draft is a waste of time. Edited 29 minutes ago by Assistant Regional Manager 1 Quote
