Moderators Blake Munroe Posted 5 hours ago Moderators Posted 5 hours ago Here’s my week three edition of the most random college football facts I could find that pertain to the current state of CFB. The facts: - There are now only 55 undefeated teams remaining at the FBS level. - Mississippi State’s win over No. 12 Arizona State marked the first time they beat a ranked non-conference opponent since 1991. The team they beat was No. 12 ranked Texas. - USF Football is the 9th team in the history of college football to win games at FSU, Florida and Miami. Forty-two have tried. - Florida paid USF $500,000 to get upset on Saturday. Ouch. - After losing to Missouri over the weekend, Kansas is now 0-20 against KSU and Mizzou since 2009. (Bonus KU/Mizzou fact: Mizzou has the same number of Big 12 wins between 2008 and 2023 as Kansas, despite being in the SEC since 2013.) - Oregon State is the only team in the FBS to have scored a TD but not a conversion. No PATs, no successful 2 point conversions. - Only two FBS teams have yet to score a TD… Ball State and Charlotte. - After Saturday’s pick six against Cal Poly, Utah now has 22 straight years with one. That is the longest streak in the nation. - Washington scored so many touchdowns on Saturday, that they actually ran out of TD celebration fireworks. It marked the first time in ten seasons that the Huskies score 70+ points. - All four D1 teams from northern Louisiana played on Saturday. They lost by a combined score of 232-7. - The SEC set the AP poll record for most teams ranked from a single conference with 11 after the latest rankings. 4 Quote
