To those of you who stuck your neck out and gave a score how do you see your score coming to. Not so much who's going to do the score, but what phases of the game do you see making it happen. I'll go first, in two games there's nothing I've seen from the defense to make me feel like their performances have been a fluke. I see three turnovers, two fumbles recovered and we get our hands one another interception. I think the run game shines, I differ from most here believing the run blocking has been by far the better of the two games. I do think we see Miss State Arch and the offense gets on track.

I agree on the D. I think there’s one defensive score (Colin Simmons strip sack). Then I think Arch and Wingo finally connect for a long TD. But I also expect the offense to be very uneven again. Baxter gets on the board with one TD and Manning another with his legs after the defense turns UTEP over and creates a short field. Shipley gets a 40-45 yard FG. Then, Manning to McCutcheon, who makes a play in space. I think Texas is going to struggle sustaining drives again. The running game might look slightly better, but at the end of the game we are still complaining about the OL. We are going to be very fortunate that the defense gives us short fields again. The good news is that I think the offense will show minor strides forward, even if it still looks a bit messy.

What I want to see is OL, WR, and TE sustaining their blocks at the second level. I want to see better leverage and coordination from the OL. I want to see receivers dialed in and making easy catches. I want to see a little more burst from Baxter and for him to break some tackles. I want to see SOMETHING from Gibson or Clark. I want to see SOMETHING in the return game. Even if it’s just very small signs of progress in these areas, it would give me great confidence that we are on the right track.
