Oh I definitely can. If you were talking about Kirby I would give you that. A loss is a loss, but a 6 and 7 point loss doesn't scream better coach to me in the head to head. More like a few balls didn't bounce your way. I also don't see that much of a difference in making it to the semifinals and making it to the finals and not winning. 

 

I also feel Nick Saban still has his hand in the cookie jar in Alabama, especially after the FSU loss.

There’s no place to hide there. Can’t complain about resources, commitment, etc. 

DoBoer did a great job inheriting a talented veteran team, taking a flyer on a very talented but oft injured Penix, then keeping them around for another season. 
 

At Alabama, it’s all on him. It wouldn’t shock me if he parlayed these two years into a more lucrative and less demanding position.

Someone really need to get the college football calendar cleaned up so that we don’t have playoff coaches switching jobs right before the playoffs… move signing day and the portal to after the playoffs.

I never understood the Hashtag hate.  I think he made some good points, maybe he was a little overly critical but a lot of what he said about players and coaching decisions was on the money before alot of other people were saying it.  I dont feel like he ever personally attacked anyone and argued his points pretty well.  There are still some obnoxious posters who everytime I see them in a thread I know it is going to end up 5-6 pages deep of “I’m rubber you’re glue” schoolyard ridiculous keyboard warrior posts.

I don’t think DeBoer is an upgrade over Sark though. Neither one of them has the go for the jugular mentality that Kirby or Cignetti.  I hope he finds it.

I think that’s CFB’s biggest challenge. Most schools are under a traditional semester system, while they’re trying to schedule a broader playoff while trying to keep a Christmas break and avoiding stepping on the NFL’s toes. Not to mention the Rose Bowl demanding to have a sunset for the end of the third quarter camera shot.

He would kill it at either of those schools. He's a Big 10 coach at heart. No way Michigan keeps Moore, right? Choosing between Michigan and PSU is a tough one.

He also is accusing Sark of drinking again and that the whole program hates Sark’s wife. As if he’d know. 
One can be critical without resorting to that kind of lowlife behavior. He needs to go back to Orangebloods.
