BuddyPalChiefBigGuy Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago This the same The Athletic that called Arch the literal embodiment of failure? Releasing this the morning of a game isn't going to help them beat allegations they have something against Texas. 2 Quote
Shmatt Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Odd timing, and if he is already one foot out the door. Then this season can get absolutely ugly… Quote

Hornito Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago If it’s the bad habit that sucks for everyone involved. I’d have hoped it’s a newborn and recovering marriage that makes nfl coaching more attractive given the time demands of college. Let’s win a game today and deal with the drama later. Quote
Texbam Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Sounds like Sark doesn’t have much confidence this offense can be functional with a tough four game stretch on the horizon. A rat jumping a sinking ship…trying to salvage his market value while he can. Or playing a dangerous game of trying to tone down the heat on his awful offense and putrid play calling…appreciate me or I’m leaving. He’s amassed overall team talent but they’ve underperformed offensively and there are glaring holes. Either way, don’t like it and he can be replaced. Quote
d_red39 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Sark after he figured out he’d have to play ball control with this offense 😂 1 Quote

pinkman_90 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I don’t understand the timing of the leak if it was from Sexton/Sark. What benefits are there to letting it out now? 1 Quote
Breezey A LH4LIFE Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago @Gerry Hamiltonif sark leaves is there a chance PK could become head coach? I’m just thinking if it happens about keeping together this defense? Quote
snugsie Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Good. He knows he has hit his ceiling here. This job opening would be prime. Quote

Alex Butler Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago 7 minutes ago, Gerry Hamilton said: Or himself, most importantly. Who you gonna call? Not Lame Kiffin, you call who the Mannings suggest and get this talented train back on the tracks. I really think Sark is looking for a raise if Kiffin and Indiana guy are being paid more than him and he has more playoff appearances than them combined. The titans are a trainwreck with very little going for them and a rookie QB with a bad o-line and no running game OR defense. At least we have defense here. Sark has things rolling here and he hasn’t exactly had success in the NFL previously. Get this offense propped back up. Win out, make the playoffs, and you’ll get a blank check without having to uproot and fight the NFL battles. If they tank this year worse I’m not sure why ANY NFL team would want him. What’s your sales pitch? “I took the preseason number one at a place that I developed with the Heisman favorite abd and a manageable schedule and managed to look horrible offensively and player decry, the key things that would require success at any level.” “Hire me so I can have the same chance with your organization. I promise I’ll take another job before I really have to dig deep and power through.”? Hope he’s a man of integrity like he says he is and leans into the challenge here this season not run away from it. Quote
TexasOnTop Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Sark with his current salary would be the 10th highest paid NFL coach. Would a team that’s firing their HC be willing to play that for an unproven NFL head coach? Quote

ArizonaLonghorn Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago 28 minutes ago, Connor Vaughn said: NFL execs know his offense is better ran and understood by professionals than by college kids. His play calling definitely suggests it. This got me wondering how well Sark did when we was an OC for the Falcons. From a Wiki article (I'm too lazy to fact check it but sounds roughly right): (quote) On February 7, 2017, Sarkisian was hired as offensive coordinator for the Atlanta Falcons, taking over for the recently departed Kyle Shanahan who left to become the head coach of the 49ers. The offense's scoring output, under his guidance, dropped from 33.8 points per game (leading the NFL in 2016) to 22.1 points per game in 2017. In 2018, the offense's scoring improved to 25.9 points per game. On December 31, 2018, he was fired as offensive coordinator. (/quote) Hey, Texas Ex Kyle Shanahan for our next head coach! LOL Quote

whereiend Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Sark has a massive Jimbo-esque guaranteed contract from UT. Would be idiotic for an NFL team to match that IMO. So are we saying Sark is going to take a pay cut and or risk tens of millions to go pro? I don't see how it makes sense on that level. Honestly I don't think it's the worst for UT to get out of his contract at this point. Not smart to do these deals in the NIL era. Quote

Quinncent McManning, Jr. Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) So what are the possibilities? 1) he is tired of the college crap with nil and donors and recruiting, etc. and just wants to pursue his NFL dreams now.. 2) he has little leverage in getting more money in a crazy coaching musical chairs season, given a subpar performance, and this gives him a little leverage. oh and perhaps 3) jimmy sexton is adding texas as a possible biggests coaching opening, making all other schools pony up even bigger to get their jimmy sexton guys. snugsie Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago You wouldn't leak this during the season if something wasn't imminent. This is going to be a huge distraction and lowers my confidence for finishing the season strong. 3 Quote
Chris Evans Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Pretty clear this leak wasn’t sark on game day. Her sourcing is likely from the nfl side of things I’m sure sexton has approached nfl teams, doing his job. Quote
