AusMOJO Posted October 29 Posted October 29 I'd think he'd wait for a better opportunity, not sure Okie State is a good landing spot. I'm surprised Arky hasn't kicked the tires on him. Quote
TexShoe Posted October 29 Posted October 29 So this is the same idiot that was over his head last year to all of a sudden being considered for a P4 HC job this year? 4 Quote

They play pretty good defense. They attack (blitz)and play a lot of man coverage so they can be susceptible to big plays, but they can be a real problem if you can’t protect qb. They beat up LSU on the LOS. They gave up a lot of points to Arkansas, but Arkansas has a pretty good offense, but bad defense. 1 Quote

Stuey22 Posted October 29 Posted October 29 We believe reports about other coaches but when it’s our coach we don’t….sports logic is undefeated 3 Quote

Heard the same hand wringing crap about their “NFL defensive line” last year yet we rushed for almost 250 yards. This is a rivalry game so throw all of the stats, rankings and past games out the window. I NEVER would’ve thought we would blow OU out after getting physically dominated in gainesville. 2 Quote
Steamboat Willie Posted October 30 Posted October 30 Imagine leaving a stable gig to run Oklahoma State’s offense… that’s like trading a steakhouse job (even if it is in Collie Station) for managing a Golden Corral Quote

First, you are an assistant. Then, you are a coordinator. Then, you go to a smaller (ie less well known) school. Then, after you make your mark at these levels, you go for the annuity. If i was Collin, I would take OSU in a heartbeat. But I think they will look for HC experience....... Major would be a good choice there. he is toiling in a cesspool now. 1 Quote

Fair point — I get the career ladder logic. Every coach wants to climb from assistant to coordinator to head guy and cash in when the time’s right. But let’s not act like Stillwater is some golden opportunity right now. Boone Pickens isn’t around writing blank checks anymore, and OSU’s wallet suddenly looks a lot thinner when the donor dust settles. If I’m Collin Klein, I’m thinking long and hard before trading stability for a gig where you’ve got to rebuild an offense with duct tape and hope the Powerball hits to fund NIL and facility upgrades. Major might fit there, sure — but only if he’s bringing his own checkbook and a bottle of Tums. Quote
