The portal should hopefully have some speed available. Unless some of the guys in the WR room leave, we're not getting anyone in the portal at WR. Quote

Yeah unfortunately I agree with you, it is a need though. The guys we have are getting better and maybe someone can emerge as a gadget guy. Very interesting to see what the staff does this offseason for sure. Quote

It's just the way it is, especially with positions of actual need elsewhere. All 4 starting WR's should be back and then you have the current Fr and then the incoming Fr. I could see a few guys leaving but not enough to justify taking somebody there. Let alone the one everyone wants in Coleman. Quote

I think we have plenty of speed in the WR room it was just not used properly early on, well at least until about a month ago. You have to also factor in Sarks good ol “circle of trust.” The freshmen all have speed and so do the guys in the 2026 class. IMO use money that would be needed for him towards the portal. Roy Hinojosa Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Early in the year, Arch couldn't hit the broad side of a barn and you can tell he didn't have a lot of chemistry with his receivers. The last half of the year, that's been a different story. I think if Arch can continue to progress, and he can get more comfortable with his receivers, we should be fine. As people have said, there are more pressing issues that need to be addressed. We need some interior o-line and a stud running back. Quote
Ace Recruiter Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago There are plenty of WR in the portal every year. With the strategy to close on developmental HS players to finish the cycle, there will be plenty of money for the right fit in the portal. Quote

We just need a genuinely elite guy to emerge for us which I hope is Mosley. And all guys will develop along with Arch for sure, but If there is a Cam Coleman level talent on the board than you don’t think twice about giving him a bag IMO. But to your point we need more studs in different places too. We have places in piece, just gotta hope it clicks in the off season. Especially that interior, that’s been the Achilles hill of this offense for the most part. Quote

I agree the money shouldn’t be wasted on a HS player unless they are a DK Moore, Jeremiah Smith, or Ryan Williams type which there isn’t one in this class. Marsh out of Michigan St is someone we should try to lure if we want to add a high end WR type. Quote

Sark and co have never been shy if there was a must get. They have been very thoughtful and made a few off evals imo, but have gone after what they needed. Last year it was what about d tackleand te... they went and got em, everyone thought this oline would be better, thus the bad eval statement along with safety and db. Quote
