    They like both Winston and Townsend a lot. When evaluating Banks as a recruiter, keep in mind he is not only the lead TE recruiter. He is a key piece in DFW, certain areas of Houston, Florida, California and Arizona for recruits of any position. For example, he helped with Myron Charles and Graceson Littleton last year among others.

    They brought in Kaewe Browne out of Corona (Calif.) Centennial. But not sure if they circle back there. Could be a reclassification option that happens down the line. Or see if they find someone else they like. As I’ve written the past couple of days, Texas is happy with the two true freshmen so that dampens the absolute need somewhat.

    Historically, A&M has always been a rival to Texas, or since I was born at least. Texas was always big brother and A&M typically had the Napoleon complex. If you’re raised in Texas and of a certain age, your parents or grandparents, etc., would tell “Aggie jokes”. And the Aggies were always the butt of the jokes.

    I don’t wish ill on any young person and unfortunately he took a wrong turn. Sad. It will come out eventually, but it’s not something we’re going to report on. (Locking thread because I think it’s the right thing to do here.)

    Brazos, all of what you write is true. That's why I've said multiple times that retention is a major part of the conversation. Yet I still believe Texas will close with an elite recruiting class. That is what Sark has done from his first year to now. I don't think that changes. Winners are gonna win.

    You couldn’t legally do that. You can’t have a signed agreement with a recruit until signing day. So nothing could be submitted to NILGo/Deloitte. Paying players from a collective while they are a recruit is clearly illegal. Apparently some schools and/or their collectives think those rules don’t apply to them.

    No, they could not. Year two would have gone against any cap.

    There is a group set to mete out punishment that has the authority to do so. When or if that will actually happen, I can’t say.
