  1. Arkansas DL transfer Ian Geffrard has committed to Texas. Geffrard, originally from Mableton, Ga., started for the Razorbacks this season. He is 6-foot-5, 380 pounds and is considered an over-the-ball defensive tackle. He is officially Will Muschamp’s first recruit on defense.
  2. Worth adding. Thoughtful note from proud UT graduate DJ Campbell!
  3. Some thoughts... - I like where Texas sits overall right now. - I think any suppositions on Cam Coleman or Jayden Woods are going to be misguided and/or premature. They'll both take multiple visits and go from there. - I think it's a positive sign that Arkansas DL Ian Geffrard came back a second day on his visit. - I think the two starting Michigan OLs - Andrew Sprague and Jake Guarena - would be excellent additions. - Texas seems to be attempting to shore up its kicking game in one weekend. Both Gianni Spetic, a kicker from Memphis, and Mac Chiumento, a punter from Florida State, are on campus currently. - I will be surprised if Wyoming OL Wes King ends up a Longhorn. - UTSA DL Kenny Owozalu is expected to visit today. We're monitoring that. There could be another DL who visits this week depending on that outcome. - There are several players who have announced their intentions to enter the portal but who have not been officially entered yet. Some schools utilize a 48-hour (or two business days rule) that allows a team to delay signing their player into the portal. While some might take that as a bad sign, it's not uncommon. It's also not a tactic Texas was unaware of prior to this weekend.
  4. I have no clue what the far-reaching future holds. None of us do. But Sark is locked and loaded for 2026. Anything beyond that, for any coach anywhere, is just wishcasting. Anyone think James Franklin would be coaching Virginia Tech in 2026? Or Kyle Whittingham coaching Michigan in 2026? Or, the list goes on... Sark has set this up to have a long run. I think that's all anyone can say with certainty.
  5. Need to clarify something: Yesterday, we misidentified Wyoming OL Wes King as Wyoming OL Luke Sandy. Only one Wyoming OL visited yesterday and that was King. We apologize for our confusion. King is not expected to be a priority for the Longhorns in this portal season, at least not at this time.
  6. Hank South of 247Sports has reported that Kenny Owozulu, a defensive end from UTSA, is expected to visit Texas later today. We can confirm that report.
  7. As of right now, I believe we got the name wrong of the Wyoming player who visited Texas yesterday. I do not believe there were two Wyoming OLs on campus.
  8. FYI - Trevor Goosby and Ty'Anthony Smith have signed for the 2026 season with the Horns. However, Goosby has not officially made a decision between Texas and the NFL Draft. I find it hard to believe Goosby would negotiate and sign an NIL deal and not return to Texas. But that option is on the table.
  9. According to my sources, he was offered a mid six figure deal. He wanted closer to a seven figure deal. He was absolutely offered a very good sized deal and turned it down.
  10. Louisville stall tactics worked here. Still waiting for Isaac Brown to officially enter the portal.
  11. Roster Retention News: Ty’Anthony Smith will be returning to Texas next season. The junior from Jasper had a breakthrough campaign in 2025, capping it off with two interceptions in the Citrus Bowl.
  12. Headline checks out.
  13. CJ Vogel is David Hasselhoff.
  14. My list: - Rod has the best aphorisms and energy. - CJ has the best mixed metaphors and hair. - Jeff has the most versatility (he literally can talk every sports from football, basketball, baseball, etc) - Coach Shipley has the lowest filter. - Gerry (don’t tell him I said this) is the funniest. - Blake is the most even keel.
  15. So the real MVP - and I think everyone from Gerry to Rod, Jeff, CJ, Blake, Coach Shipley, etc. - would agree is Matt, our producer. He does so many things behind the scenes and helps every single one of us. And Blake Munroe would be a close second. Blake produces every morning show and Matt produces every other show. Those two are the real MVPs IMO.
  16. Thanks Sarah!!!
  17. Hope everyone has a great day today. Merry Christmas!
  18. I can’t. I really can’t. Sad stuff IMO.
  19. I give up. People who do this must just have too much free time on their hands.
  20. Post of the year nominee!
  21. They aren’t necessarily uogrades financially.
