    BTW - it's not impossible that Alvarez could still be getting even better as a hitter. His strikeouts per at bat were way down last year despite a much higher AB number.

    Well, they're a favorite to make the playoffs until they're not. Anybody who has this guy in the lineup typically has a chance. Will likely depend on if pitching can hold up.

    I thought Lovell Pinkney, when he first arrived on campus, would eventually be an elite NFL player. But he never really progressed after year one in Austin. I don't know if I misjudged his overall ability or he perhaps he just didn't love football, I really don't know what happened. But I thought he would make it big and he just never did.

    I’ll look into what they made. I believe current deal goes through 2030 or 2032.

    NIL should be no different at A&M than Texas. Brands can do the exact same thing at Texas through Learfield. The only thing this accomplishes it getting A&M out of an antiquated, less revenue deal with Learfield. As far as being the highest, it will be that way until another rights property of equal or greater value (like Texas) comes available. That’s the nature of things.
