  1. OTF expects Wisconsin OL Joe Brunner to head to Indiana. Brunner's circle reached out to Texas but it looks like it'll be Indiana. He wanted to stay in the Midwest.
  2. No. Texas historically has not done multi-year deals.
  3. Texas has not been too principled.
  4. Yes, there are all types of deadlines and negotiating tactics (like evaporating offers) that schools use all the times.
  5. We expect multiple official visitors for the Longhorns tomorrow.
  6. 90pct are agent advised.
  7. I think Texas should just pay everybody what they want because of what they might be 2 years from now. 😞 I’ve got news for you folks. It’s a new day and age in CFB.
  8. Texas is evaluating the value on a year to year basis of these players.
  9. Winston is 2nd team in 12 personnel and could now move to 1st in passing situations. Simon certainly has a decision to make and has been weighing that.
  10. That’s some of why Texas changed its recruiting tactics mid year.
  11. Flood will have had more OLs selected here in his first five years than the last 15 combined.
  12. Arizona State RB Raleek Brown has made it in for his official visit.
  13. Texas had a significantly superior financial offer for Sprague.
  14. Good God. Just stop with this nonsense.
  15. This is a mid-day update. Still no word on offensive tackle Andrew Sprague. The Kansas City native is still debating between a move to Texas or returning to Michigan. Both sides are awaiting a decision. It was originally thought he would announce a decision this morning, so it could come at any time.
  16. Both Vandy WR Tre Richardson and Oklahoma State DE Wendell Gregory have scheduled visits with the Longhorns.
  17. Yep. We’ll see if they’re right.
  18. There’s plenty of time. The timeline to enter the portal closes on Jan. 16. As I mentioned in my article this morning, I suspect Texas will be adding depth pieces all the way into the spring.
  19. 2-3 With the third a cheaper depth piece than Barnes.
  20. Narratives like this are the issue. It’s not a pay cut. It’s a negotiation year to year about what someone is worth.
  21. He had four tackles in 2025. He is a good player with the potential to eventually be a starter. Lots of players take less after their freshman season. It’s a renegotiation year to year.
  22. What’s a potential third string linebacker worth? Or would be second string? I don’t know. But Barnes appears to be willing to test those waters.
  23. I feel very strongly about Texas' standing with Rutgers corner Bo Mascoe. The honorable mention All-Big Ten pick visited Texas yesterday and today.
  24. Earlier today around 1pm on his ranch, Jordan Shipley, the former Texas wide receiver, was involved in an accident. Shipley escaped the accident with the help of a worker nearby but he was severely burned in the process. Shipley was care-flighted to Dell-Seaton Hospital in Austin and is currently undergoing the first of what will likely be several surgeries ahead. Please pray for Jordan and his family, as well as his dad Bob Shipley, who is on the way to the hospital to be with Jordan and his family now. Thank you. View full news story
