  1. FYI. - Confirmed with Texas Sports Info that Jones walked on to the basketball team. - I don’t think Bolden is 5-9 or 175. - I personally have yet to see Bolden truly open it up. Not sure if he’s as fast as Dell or Jones that way.
  2. Only guy I can remember at Texas who would be somewhat similar is Tony Jones. Jones was very slight yet played multiple years in the NFL. He was also the last three sport athlete at Texas I can recall - football, basketball and track. And Jones held the school record in the 200m for years I believe.
  3. Continue to be impressed by the three running backs; their frames, their abilities, etc. Good group.
  4. Silas Bolden with what looked like a wrong route in early drills.
  5. Johntay Cook dropped first pass on a receiver screen.
  6. "I'm tired of this {BLEEP} green jersey," Michael Taffe.
  7. Daniel Cruz may be the quickest offensive lineman on entire team.
  8. We’ll check into it further. Would be disappointing.
  9. I think the most valuable baseball card I have is a ‘58 Mantle. My favorite though is a Texas pennant from the 1975 Bluebonnet Bowl. That game really started it all for me.
  10. I truly appreciate the many of y’all who helped make this happen.
  11. This note comes from one of the school board members at Freer High School. It is regarding the Freer Band playing at Steve McMichael’s HoF introduction. Thank you to all who participated and/or passed the word around. I firmly believe everyone who participated paid it forward some so thank you very much. ** “Good evening Bobby. I just spoke with the superintendent. Freer raised about $23K in donations from the go fund me and private donations sent to the school. The community held a bingo last night that raised over $7K. The students leave Wednesday morning. He said they’re going to buy each student some sort of souvenir and give each student some money. Most of these kids won’t have any money of their own. They also bought a pass for each that will get them entry into both the NFL hall of fame and the rock and roll HoF in Cleveland (since it’s the band). Thank you and all of your friends, cohorts, listeners, sponsors, fans, everyone associated with OnTexasFootball. The happiness I know these students will experience will last for the rest of their lives. It is such a privilege to witness the love and support for our tiny community. Thank you so very much.”
  12. It’s a fair question. But I don't think we know the answer yet.
  13. I thought he was asking about NIL amount. Sorry.
  14. I can’t tell you the personal numbers involved here, nor do I really think I should. Suffice to say, it’s a significant amount or the Longhorn Foundation wouldn’t be tweeting about it.
  15. The Arnolds and Itkins have participated in helping Texas with numerous facility projects, with team-wide NIL deals and numerous other items that benefit the University and Texas athletics. Their generosity, and the generosity of others like them, play a major role in making Texas the best athletic department and university in the country. Hook’Em!
  16. Couldn't be a nicer guy off the field!
  17. The Tulsa Texas Exes event was great. Appreciate them having me out!
  18. For folks in Tulsa who want to come hang out with other Longhorns tonight, I’ll be at the Go West Events Center beginning at 6pm for the annual Tulsa Texas Exes scholarship fundraiser. Again, it’s a fundraiser so it’s $60 at the door with a deluxe buffet. Former Longhorn all-conference football player Lance Taylor is the Tulsa Exes president and was nice enough to invite me. If you’re in the area, come on out and support a good cause if you can.
  19. Softball and basketball are categorically different for a female athlete’s future. Softball players need to get their money now because there are now legit pro softball leagues. With the WNBA, there’s another long-term piece to consider for basketball players.
  20. A few high school highlights of Earl yesterday. Here’s some of Ricky. There are some similarities Neither of these guys shied from contact. Surprising speed and quickness for bigger guys. They finished runs.
  21. Will recognize this guy even if they don’t recognize the uniform. It’s a high school pic!
