  1. It was much, much more nuanced than that. But I know folks are looking for the easiest answer.
  2. Not every recruitment is the same even if they’re going to the same school. Sharma’s was different than Moore’s whose was different from Brew’s.
  3. Here's the problem that I can't seem to articulate clearly enough. I never said money was no factor. I have said, however, that it was not ALL about the money. Money is a factor, but not the only factor. There are many factors involved in making these decisions, not just one. So I do not think money was the only reason Moore selected Oregon. At the end of the day, I think Oregon actually made a better sales pitch. This whole line of "wanting to do something different" is nothing more than a sales pitch that was made by Oregon (and it's the same one they have used for decades on others!). It's one that Moore bought into and/or it resonated with him. That pitch may resonate more these days because it's also backed up by NIL and not just shiny locker rooms. I guarantee you their coaches are saying the same exact line to a dozen other recruits outside of the West Coast footprint. IMO, Texas did not do enough or have a strong enough relationship with Moore to quash that bs, or they didn't read the situation as such. It happens. This isn't the first recruitment Steve Sarkisian has lost in his life. It won't be the last. Look NIL was a piece of the decision. It wasn't all of it.
  4. The term "dumpster fire" is pure hyperbole. Dumpster fire is when all hope is lost; it's Sumlin at A&M late or Jimbo Fisher the same. Sark is not out to lunch here. He's there and working, he's also coming off a CFP appearance, double digit picks in the NFL draft, and a team that looks fit for the SEC. Things don't go your way sometimes. That doesn't make it a friggin' dumpster fire.
  5. I just sent you a personal email. Pls respond there and I can walk you through it if need be.
  6. Not asking you to buy it. Texas is not being drastically outbid by anyone right now on any player. That is a straight fact. They’re in the same ballpark. So it’s either you like Texas or you don’t; coaches are either convincing you to like Texas more or they’re not.
  7. If he goes to Oregon, it won’t be solely about the money. Texas will have been outrecruited IMO. Recruiting definitely still matters. Remember what I’ve been saying from the start: the color of everybody’s money is the exact same. These recruits are essentially free agents and free agents choose where they want to go. If he chooses Texas over Oregon or vice versa, it’ll be because that school did a better job recruiting him IMO.
  8. If I did such things, I’d put mine on Missouri.
  9. Weigman is very talented IMO. His issue is health.
  10. Thanks. Corrected.

  16. He’s very much involved. His primary position is edge. He was key in Lance Jackson. With Smith Orogbo, it was a combo of PK, Kenny Baker and Jeff Banks.
  17. Thank you and others.
  18. Yep. Small, rural community. Need to spread the word.
  19. Thank y’all for contributing. I think this is a great cause and it’s not a huge ask at all.
  20. A small donation to this great cause. https://www.gofundme.com/f/freerhs-halloffameparade Freer High School is trying to raise the funds to send its HS band to the Pro Football Hall of Fame induction of its most famous graduate, UT alum Steve McMichael. They are not looking for a lot of money. About $20,000 to send 30+ kids up to Canton, Ohio on a bus and back. Freer is a small, rural community. Every little bit helps. I donated personally, as did Steve McMichael's wife. Pls consider helping if you can.
  21. OU added the ace of the Iowa State staff, so there is that. But I think Canady, despite entering the portal, has been contemplating returning to Stanford or transferring. Or at least she had been.
