    That penalty was stupid as well, he was having fun and enjoying the moment. I think part of reality is that most other schools dont have anything near as iconic as the 'horns up' hand gesture , so it is easy for others to lock onto it and try utilize it as a unifier. Either way, I think we should take pride in fact that every fan base in nation recognizes horns up/down

    it is only unsportsmanlike if it is face of a Longhorn player and deserves an actual taunting penalty, otherwise its just all part of the fun. imho

    never fun to see any of the staff move on.... but always happy that others want what we have. That being said, are there any others on staff that are actively being looked at?

    Hasnt Rod B been saying he thinks Sark has been checking out Miami??? We assumed he meant the offense, who knew he was checkinng out d-line as well!! 😃

    Yeah, when you look at the depth chart at DL vs any other position group, it becomes obvious that obvious we help.

    @Bobby Burton does that also point to maybe not getting someone from the NFL as looking for a plus recruiter in todays game means they are probably already in college and doing it

    I couldnt agree more. Fill a hole?? YES, sign me up.... take a guy that is marginally better or just a filler because he is an adult while we drive off better 'in development' talent....no thanks. These are 4 year turn arounds, I'll take a 2nd year so-so that could be great over a 3rd or 4th year so-so because he is known all day!

    I guess I just worry that we keep taking portal players and we will drive off young talent. Especially if that portal talent is not appreciable better. I get that this year is the exception and not the rule though

    didnt realize this.... maybe makes it make more sense. Add to the pipeline and throw new coach a bone (kid has followed him before). Bobby already called me a dumbass for not believing (not in so many words lol) Maybe i need to go watch more games of this kid

    Honest question..........At what point are we sacrificing developmental/rotational snaps for guys that were recruited cause staff believed in them though??? I understand adding depth that has potential to be more than (read Trill Carter) but adding rotational that is known will never be more? I guess the question is, would we be better off waiting until spring to see if better is available as we already seem to be up against numbers

    Which worries me as to why we are talking about him, unless there is some unseen recruiting advantage he brings for future players. I dont see how adding him would make us better
