  1. Last night? All he does is talk the ear off of the ref, stand in the field 60%, and talks all the fam time at the refs… I live near ATL and I can’t stand his antics
  2. Last line is silly. I think this is the stuff the mods are talking about. Zero reason to add the last sentence when your overall opinion was made. There are logical and plausible reasons for a win. You don’t have to be an idiot, you can simply be objective with possibilities and probabilities. It’s also The Game where records and prior games often don’t matter. OU offense is meh. I’m not sure who’s tested their defense so there are definite ways to win. If our defense is a fraud, the bottom probably falls out for the season. If they were caught off guard last week, regardless of why, and return full bore, we’ll be in most games. If our oline and play calling approaches just average, we could be sneaky good instead preseason ranked #1 good. Honestly, no team scares me this year. We scare me by underperforming but no team has looked remotely unbeatable.
  3. I’ve wrestled with this. I wonder if it’s similar to the Akina / Manny issues in the recent pass. Philosophical clashes. I think he clearly has value but I wonder how he identifies and addresses blind spots. As a leader, I always try to hire those that think differently, better, etc. so long as we are grounded on the outcome(once decided, simply can’t have folks rowing in multiple directions that’s why it’s crucial to involve them in the decision process). It’s a simple concept but not always easy to execute. Does he need a specific specialist for developing large humans? Do they test/contrast weight room strength against playing strength, etc. I’m not a baby bath water guy. Hell, even for Flood, if his concepts are still fresh and effective, maybe he needs someone that teaches better. Teaching and transferring skills are far less common strengths for people in general. It’s way beyond parroting and repetition. Though, for what he’s paid, he probably should be able to do both? 🤷🏽‍♂️
  4. Saban’s players were maxed and often bounced soon from the nfl because of wear and tear. They were 3 deep because of paying players when others weren’t so not remotely an apples comparison. Just because you think it’s the first year about S&C doesn’t mean it’s true, lol. Good lord. Our oline has struggle for years to push and drive folks. I never learn to keep you on ignore. Back you go.
  5. @John Boyle @Cujonation83 What are y’all hooking? The post makes zero sense. Sark emphasizes more teaching but that leads to a weaker mentally? Nonsensical. “Rough” practices are proven more detrimental than helpful. If anything, we have an S&C issue/gap. Sark has the right approach for wear and tear. He over trusted flood, and bo for that matter, and is reaping the consequences. It’s not rocket science.
  6. He hasn’t looked remotely the same. He needs to get better but has shown improvement. He was legitimately pressured all night. Those weren’t happy feet. He needs to work on his progressions and I don’t know if he’ll live up to the hype but it’s inaccurate and disingenuous to say he’s the same.
  7. Last time I let my heart decide. Tried optimism vs realism. Lesson learned.
  8. It’s left to tight. G-c-g as the weak links with Campbell the worst against what he should be. Stroh seems to have a super low floor because of balance/feet while also playing too early. We’ve heard baker is a technician but currently that means bring in the right place to get overpowered. If Kibble and Brooks are clearly superior athletically and drive wise to Stroh, Campbell, or Baker, play them.
  9. Super lazy response but makes sense you’d choose it.
  10. I simply go by what happens on the field. Our oline lacks playing strength. Stroh is a great example. Keep hearing he is one of the strongest in the weight room but it doesn’t translate to the field. Little punch and has terrible balance. Baker is pretty often in the right place but over powered fairly consistently. Hutson doesn’t seem to move folks after all these years of folks wanting him to replace ole faithful and so on. Some areas seem okay so maybe we need an Oline specialist 🤷🏽‍♂️
  11. Yours? What are you dismissing? Who can he be credited with developing? C Jones? Okay. Who else? The super star class entered and left with the same level they entered. Banks was gonna Banks. Hutson, Campbell , Neto all multiple year players and are well below average. Never mind. If you can’t see it after 5 years of film, my words are useless.
  12. Uh, it’s Arch’s 3rd year in this system…
  13. Maybe becton is also overrated
  14. Are those all IOL?
  15. I made the mistake of taking you off ignore. You wouldn’t recognize integrity because every position you have is with you in mind. You applied your logic into my post by trying to point out Texas has billionaires as if that would matter to my larger point. Now, your goalpost moving is that an entity, not an individual, needs x amount of dollars to be a top program. A false equivocation in any context but the real issue is that I think you believe what you say. I used to think it was a bit as some people thrive just being a pill to others. Btw, Texas absolutely has a history of individual donors with far too much influence over the program. During those years, despite being flush with cash, Texas stunk. Short story long, thank you for reminding me to permanently put you back on ignore so that I don’t participate in gumming up a thread. 🤘🏽
  16. Of course it does. Beyond naive to think otherwise. Maybe I should have said most humans meaning anyone not a billionaire. I wouldn’t want Texas’ billionaires in charge either. It’s not the school, that’d be hypocritical. Not your billionaire but mine. Nah. Not how I live.
  17. How bout we have zero billionaires on the board? Oil men care about one thing and money is the other. If he’s against it, I’m inclined to think that’s it’s good for the rest of us. Who do you think you pays for the universities and tv money today? That 7 billion will be added to your streaming or cable bill. We pay for it all. What happened to us a society? Why are people no longer viewed for what that are. Oil and casino money is historically super conscientious of others, amirite. You don’t overpay for players like cattle and then cry you’re just looking out for others. Like most billionaires, he helped create a problem so that he can fix it. The very worst thing that could happen to college football did by letting billionaires in. They’ve always been around but there were some rules and certainly not the sums and power being thrown around today. https://collegefootballnetwork.com/who-is-billionaire-cody-campbell/ He is a billionaire multi times over. He could literally set up an endowment that would cover all schools and their Olympics sports without any real impact to his overall wealth or lifestyle so wholly miss me with this is for kids or public. Was giving government more power to help the people? On the board that says if you don’t have my views, you don’t get money. https://www.forbes.com/sites/michaeltnietzel/2025/06/23/texas-governor-signs-bill-that-throttles-public-university-senates/ https://www.texastribune.org/2025/06/19/texas-legislature-higher-ed-lege-recap/ https://www.kvue.com/article/news/politics/texas-legislature/texas-house-gives-initial-approval-bill-reshape-higher-education-courses/269-0babb10e-6588-434b-93a3-e2a16d77d98c Your political side shouldn’t matter. These are power grabs and they’re happening everywhere. It’s really discouraging that you gave him this medium. Of course he wants to discuss it. I guess owning the education side isn’t enough. Now he wants the sports. That was also 3 seconds on Google without looking into it more.
  18. All good. I thought you’d get a chuck. Data helps the eye test for sure.
  19. Hi Blake. Am I reading this right? Arch could have been 23/30 without drops/wr error? 63% vs 76% seems encouraging. Do they define drops?
  20. Lol. You’re looking for some kind of positive affirmation or credit after a bad loss? No one said they were world beaters. The entire discussion is who do we need to make sure we stay dialed in on or risk a loss. Florida has the talent in the right spots to be one of those teams. If anything, losing this game will ratchet up their focus and desperation. They don’t have to put it together for 10 great games to beat us once. So no, nothing’s changed. If the bottom falls out and players start quitting, that’s a game changer. They seem to love their coach so we’ll see but it hasn’t happened yet. Transitive logic just isn’t applicable in football. We ran less effectively than CMU did against SJSU. So…
  21. Would have preferred dialogue and mutual respect. Be well.
