OTF Premium Mo Portal Mo Problems
Thanos72 replied to Gerry Hamilton's topic in On Texas Football Forum
Life became a video game at some point where you stack the deck so far in your favor that you can’t lose. Competition, grit, and the sheer joy of earning something, winning as the underdog, got lost. -
OTF Premium Mo Portal Mo Problems
Thanos72 replied to Gerry Hamilton's topic in On Texas Football Forum
This would be a reasonable take if every option was over and this was the final roster. That’s the frustrating part of the negative ned’s here. Texas was rejected bgh. Instead of grabbing bodies, they’re playing the long game before grabbing equivalents to those you mentioned or they really do like who’s already here. Y’all are mad, unreasonably imo, that we didn’t get the cam of guards. The really frustrating part is negative folks have marathon stamina and just keep repeating their feelings, not facts. The worst part is they get upset when others don’t participate in negativity. Why? In general, negative people will always find the problem in anything and bullhorn about it. There is no solution to it because everything in life has something to point to if one chooses to see it. It’s so important in life to be intentional with whom you associate. Negativity is an emotional forest fire and if allowed in, it’s so easy to find kinder. The opposite side, while much smaller, is also frustrating in that nothing is ever wrong and blind trust anchors their lenses. The result? A site of opposing views that gums up the board by confusing louder and quantity with influence and perspective. Very little nuance or football centric discussion, just check out my feelings that things aren’t going how I wanted which somehow turns into something they were promised or guaranteed. We were told one thing. Texas would be all in much differently than the past. This has played out unequivocally true. Throwing in more expensive hats doesn’t mean you’ll win. Hell, y’all are most mad about folks that didn’t even enter the portal. Now you’re mad about failing plan b when it hasn’t finished yet. See? Always something to find fault in. This isn’t a chat room. It’s a site to discuss things On Texas Football. It’s becoming a site with how people irrationally feel about not getting what they wanted or expected. -
What’s your point? What do you think you’re illuminating with your massive dump? Of course others have used it and found short term success. If you’re not part of cig’s coronation, then I’m not sure why you’re quoting my post? If you are, then that’s why you have massive amounts to dump. You’re full of it (I laughed) to crown anyone after a short run of success. It’s a great story and season on its own and one that doesn’t need idolizing. That’s all. Carry on. Or, dm sweet cig nothing’s to asspan so he’ll stop reaching out to me.

I unignored you to see your response. Mistake, lol. I’m responding to a different poster. Didn’t mention you. Maybe stop seeing yourself in others’ comments. Maybe ignore me. Maybe develop a different skin. For sure, move on. Ignored ♾️

Good post tough I wonder if some coaches are better just below the elite level schools 🤷🏽. I think he is a very good coach and he excels at maximizing his strengths while minimizing his weaknesses. Duh I know but it’s not very common. Right or wrong, he knows what he wants and ensures his team executes to it. He also pivoted well when he saw they couldn’t protect Martinez on obvious passing downs. Great season for him and string start to his Indians tenure. My original 🤮 was about the doting posts and not about Cignetti’s amazing turnaround at a traditionally awful football school. We overly and swiftly crown coaches like him while under appreciating our own damn good coach. Mostly, because we can’t find a guard. Sark deserves criticism for sure. Stubborn, maybe overly loyal, and takes his foot off the gas too often, too soon. I’ve posted on him, and especially flood, more than once but not sure who I trade him for today. Really, not sure who we upgraded over flood and gets probably my biggest gripe. We are “stuck” with him for now it seems. Back to the original point. I guess fawning in general ain’t my thing. I’ve decided that I’m excited for next year regardless of any other portal action. We’ll have enough. Now let’s see our coaches make it happen. 🤘🏽

lol. You’re terrible at this. It’s a just a chat on football. Has zero to do with my personal happiness. Too funny. Apparently you’ve look at my prior posts to form a false narrative but I’m the miserable one. It’s beyond respect imo. I acknowledge he had a good season. Stats, 2 years of data to support your view of him but I guess that’s just respect. off to ignore.

lol. You really think you’re on to something. Nothing’s comparable because nothing’s the same. NIL distorted everything starting last year and has gone up exponentially. This was also a really down year in football quality but do you and continue to hang on those Illinuts. He might be the next Saban but it’s too soon for anyone to know. Had a good season but he a lot had to go right. OSU(by their standard, hell we almost beat them with 4 linemen and arch wackamoling throws), Mi, PSU in down years, terrible playoff teams, etc… Done with this 🤘🏽

Lot of 2 loss teams every year. We’ll see if he can sustain it. Slobbering over him is silly.

🤮 One season with 32 yr seniors and he’s the greatest…

HOOK ‘EM! OT Jonte Newman Commits to Texas

Curious. What were you looking to accomplish with this comment? Not understanding the point unless the staff forced you to subscribe somehow or made secret email promises. Your first sentence is incongruous with the rest. I love you honey but you’re fat and not as pretty as the neighbor is definitely a choice. 🤦🏽♂️🤣 Portal season revelations continues… -

It’s why our country struggles today. Good for you to have humans that attended a different university. Heaven forbid. It’s silly and pseudo machismo especially from that one. -

OTF Premium So About the Offensive Line in 2026
Thanos72 replied to CJ Vogel's topic in On Texas Football Forum
We’ll have enough bodies. There’s 100s of available ol in the portal. We’ll add 3 that are at least serviceable in a worse scenario. There’s still a little prime meat on the portal bone that we’re chasing. Hell, get Seaton level and we’re sitting good. 2 very strong tackles helps a ton. We also have the upcoming grad transfer pool. We’ll be fine but we’re trying to be great. -

I think if he hits the weight room correctly and builds functional strength, he could take off. Seems to make the right calls, though flood’s slide protections have become predictable, and is in the right spots but gets overpowered. I think he knows he lacks strength so he overpowers and smart dl leverage his momentum against him. He definitely shored it up but has to get stronger since he protects the middle. The one place you simply can’t have penetration. -
@Bobby Burton @Gerry Hamilton @Jeff House @CJ Vogel Great action in the portal today. Kudos on your work through. Top notch! Sark has preached culture over everything since day one. My only concern about all in is the impact on culture. We haven’t really done wholesale mercenary work and we lost several glue/culture guys. Where do you land on cultural fit so far for the portal haul? More positive than negative? Opposite? Neutral? Curious to hear y’all’s perspective. SIAP
