  1. Just saw this. I said those things about the reply. I don’t know you and I’m not sure why you personalized it. I’m sorry that I don’t look up everyone’s tenure before replying. If it helps, it’d be the same regardless because I’m addressing the 457 pages not you. That’s funny. I’m asking for basic things like patience and measured/thoughtful responses and you describe it as superiority. I’ve replied maybe 4 times and mostly because folks like you engaged me. Miss me with the whole feel better. It’s a just a reply. Flaccid was both funny and on point I think. Lol Welcome to OTF. They run the best Texas site imho.
  2. I think you’re right. He won’t see this daylight or outrun people this often but he would have been rb1 last year for us. He may not go 60 but I’ll definitely take (5)-(15) yards vs the (-2)-(3) of last year.
  3. It’s hyperbole but you prove point. It’s beaten to death what others have gotten and what we didn’t. How many times does it need to be covered? Y’all don’t know we are weaker. The only thing you know is some experienced players left, with noise/speculation around why, and a very talented group is coming in. The aggregate raw talent coming in is arguably better. The only thing we know is we are more inexperienced and yes we had a slim portal season. It doesn’t matter who anyone else picked until we see how they gel but that doesn’t stop the crying. It’s bad enough during game threads but this Texas. We can’t use our brains and elevate the conversation beyond woah is me. Even the mods are avoiding it. Mods need a new dedicated section for folks that just want to complain and lament under the guise of discourse. A permanent post for the main sports to vent, complain, or whatever so the mod posted topics are saved for different discussions. It’d be the most popular feature here.
  4. That’s such a lazy, flaccid, and simpleton reply. The sad thing is they are homogenous. What comments? This, like most things, are just about how one feels about something independent of reality or truth. Nothing insightful. Same nonstop b!tching over and over. Lamenting how others did well and crying about how terrible we’ll be. Dramatic conclusions about how terrible we’ll be, etc. based on what? There’s no conversation on how the new folks can mesh and be successful or how the ones that left might have been impacting the culture ceiling so it’s a net positive. No strategic talk on how to make it. Nothing that identifies a concern and how we can or why we can’t overcome it. Most is wah wah or begging mods to spill the tea for their diaries. Also, nobody knows. Fabulous incoming class but I guess they are predestined to fail. Maybe hold off on the b!tching until there’s actual observation but that would eliminate most commenters that just want to share their feels. Most of which are negative. They’re always the loudest because they’re typically miserable humans. I’d prefer quiet and patient approach or actual strategy to negativity or deluded optimism but that’s just me.
  5. Amazing insight from the WBB experts here. No need to tune in next year. Super helpful observations before the first practice occurs.
  6. Neither. It’s tbd. Addition by subtraction is a real thing. We don’t know if the ones that left are a value add to another team as much as we don’t if the incoming amazing class can gel from the beginning. Basketball might be the easiest sport for freshmen to have an immediate impact. Texas didn’t bring in anyone that the interwebs wanted but I’m not sure whom Vic missed out on that is crushing. Maybe he believes the new class is better than those exiting? Maybe he is stubborn and losing his touch with the current generation? TBD
  7. “Yall” want tea and/or reasons to make sense of the mass exodus that occurred not x/o. Enough has been alluded to and it’s nothing more than human conflict for whatever reasons. Vic probably needs to adjust some of his approach to 2026 while commits need to have the EI to play for a non flexible coach. Staff probably should have said something even if it’s to say we aren’t going to comment but it’s merica in 26. You’ll get what you get and you’ll like it. Also, they may have replied but I’m not scrubbing 25 pages of screenshots and dear Abby. I got one that ignores anything I ask and one that can’t reply to email even with no comment but I’m just a subscriber. South has been great in replying and overall this staff is still better than most. Probably time to lock this one and move on to how they’ll gel under Vic vs sky is falling speculation.
  8. 95% of this is drama. Why would they weigh in? Gossip? Campfire story? Reassurance it’ll all be okay? lol It is what it is and Vic will either make it work or some of his luster will thin out.
  9. I’ll never understand not identifying an issue. It’s a sport that’s measured. It’s simple cause/effect and nothing to do with blame. Qb is the most important position and can’t be measured the same. If you remove the blame notion and stick to what behavior or action needs to improve, it’s pretty easy. Arch happens to be the qb. This position requires “x” to be successful regardless of the actual individual manning the position. It impacts games and seasons. It’s never only 1 person that loses a season. That wasn’t the narrative but I think it’s objectively fair to say a dull season of year end arch gets us into the playoffs. His play lifted everyone once he got going. Have a great day! 🤘🏽
  10. I replied to an arch comment. He simply wasn’t very good it consistent for early games. It’s observational not critical. He got better. The easiest way to say this is that late season arch played that way from the beginning, we’re in the playoffs. It isn’t blamed, just reasoned. Though, “hero ball” definitely opens up to injuries.
  11. It’s close. He missed some significant, and momentum killing, easy throws against osu. That win shifts the season. He’s the primary reason we had a chance to recover and make the playoffs but his poor play against the cream puffs also didn’t help the optics. Oline is #1, Akina/pk secondary, and Arch start imho.
  12. So the or at te and the projected 1 at lg in the post need strong summers? So what does that say about the folks behind them? I’d ask the other one but he just ignores me since I gave him feedback 100 years ago.
  13. So it wasn’t OTF Football Staff In the post?
  14. I agree. For your viewing pleasure he should risk an injury. Especially in April. Cut him and save the money. I was disappointed overall. They used pads and helmets. Texas soft is back. Amirite?
  15. But Gerry, what am I paying for if I don’t get all the deeeeeeets…. First the ladies program and now this. Please burn your sources to assuage my curiosities.
  16. I thought it meant from the big10, lol
  17. Super dumb question @Gerry Hamilton. Do you track how many “hi” go on to commit? Not for public consumption but for you to track as seasons change, ie pre/post NIL, etc. If so, is there dramatic change from hi to no or maybe there are fewer hi? Feel free to ignore. I would, lol,
  18. Neither brain nor maturity is fully formed regardless of what they’re paid. They need good people in their lives to advise them on these matters as parents should to raising good humans. It’s nice in their to just say let them choose what they want. Very few athletes have been truly successful with it. Bo was probably the greatest natural athlete of all time and his body couldn’t handle it. Talk about armor. That dude was 1 of 1 and his body broken down. I know a lot of people don’t like 21 but I do and he was another unworldly athlete that did solidly in baseball but wear and tear started showing up for him as well. It’s biology and physiology not heart and desire. In high school, elite athletes can wake up and dominate on natural gifts. In college and pros, specific muscle training for a given sport is often in conflict with another not to include that their bodies never rest or fully heal which is critical to like term health. Maybe basketball and one of the others could work since weight training seems to be less critical and maybe not in conflict but it tears up the knees and joints so it’ll still shorten their career. Also it’s super sad to see these elite bodies kinda broken down later so I could enjoy a sport. IMHO, choose one once in college. When pro, if that elite, maybe split the career. Football first and then baseball since it has a longer shelf life but not concurrent. Now, the real question is if he can play left guard immediately?!! 🤘🏽@Joe Zura
  19. Yeah, the board’s for simpleton whiners yelling at tv 2 minutes into a season. Miserable people love spreading misery. There’s nothing constructive or enlightening from your posts. Just a kid with emotions yelling on the internet. Bravo. There are other sites for your ilk.
  20. Not remotely as irritating as the non stop b!tching from the same folks. Every game isn’t a season. Y’all are much more fatiguing than watching a team grow over the course of a season. That’s part of the fun for the non entitled…
  21. Super funny. Good one. Great job. Clever.
