    Curious, so if Texas would have signed him last year do y'all think he would have been a bust? I watched 3 USC games this year and he played really well. I don't think Texas will go after him because they need a speed guy, plus he would probably cost to much. But, 4th and 5 on the GL 6'6"???

    I think you're 100% correct, but as it goes with DL, the 3 guys they brought in last year were not big time guys, and only 2 saw the field. I think K. Baker did a great job to develop both guys into really good players. Texas wants 300+ pound guys and they don't have a lot of them in the portal right now? Now Lala (spell) had a good Jr. Year, ok Sr. Year before coming to TX. Was Norton a reach? I'm not sure?

    So some in the chat doesn't like when someone has thought about a kid. I thought this is what it is for, to have back in fourth discussions. It's called opinions, and even if you think the person is stupid, some others may not. Plus, it not like Texas coach's have not been wrong with a few kids they have brought in from the portal. There's a lot of different aspects to kids in the portal that a lot of us don't know or understand, and that is why questions are asked. JMO

    The biggest issue is that the time fo.r a one year kid to learn Sark offense would make it hard for Texas.

    Not sure a LB is needed. As for the DL you're going to have Mitchell get his crap together and January will play a bunch. Also will need plays from Hills and both Freshman. That 5 so at worst you must get 2 big time guys and 1 roll player? I'm hoping Nebits with his speed get a real shot next year. So you know who two starters will be. If Golden comes back he will be the 3rd starter. Can one of the two red shirt WR take that next step? New kids may find the field. OL should be good. Still think Williams comes back, so all should be fine. RB no clue DB I don't think they have to grab a kid, but if there is a big time kid, sure.

    There two big kids DL in the portal, kid from Alabama, and kid from Kentucky. Any interest? WR Pettaway from OU, Gerry really liked him coming out of HS. He is very fast and Texas wanted him. Is he an option for the speed guy??

    I will also argue about how Texas runs the ball. I watched Florida and Mississippi run the ball against Georgia between the Tackles and have success. George has to much speed to think you can run outside against them. You can run at LB #11, but if he is on the edge no way. Texas OL can wear down a DL, and have a lot of running yardage in the 4th qt. Even with Blue and Tray. TX gives up to soon on the run, or just refused to even try. My opinion. Thanks
