Overall, the defense dominated. Wingo and Brown were outstanding! Hollywood, Get well soon. Message to Arch: Either throw it away, or run a few yards and get down! Crossing the line of scrimmage twice in a game is inexcusable. When you see a blitz, just throw it away, or get ready to roll out. The delay-of-game call was also inexcusable. The early pass to Cam was a bad decision; Texas should have marched downfield at that point. Also, with over 4 minutes left in the fourth quarter, the offensive calls were totally soft! Total 🐄 💩! Sark should have stepped on their BEEEEEP ing throats when he had the opportunity. There was absolutely no reason not to try to score and make it 27 to 10. The punt team was terrible. Also, without the stupid mistakes and STUPID penalties, the score could have easily been 27 to 3. That would be my criticism: Texas Won! Hook'em! 🤘 🤠 🇨🇱

B., 10 in the fourth quarter. 4th and 9, and 4th and 6. If it wasn't for the miscues, the score could easily have been 37 to 20. 2. Florida 3. Early nerves, forced fumbles, and dropped passes. Shout-out to Cam Coleman and Kade Phillips for being at the right place at the right time. 4. There were so many unfortunate situations in the first three quarters. The missed field goal in the fourth quarter helped to balance it out.

Born July 6, 1924. At the age of 32, Darrell Royal came to the University of Texas campus with a folksy sense of humor and an innovative style of football that produced almost instant success and the lifelong respect and affection of Longhorn fans throughout the world. In Royal’s second year at Texas, the Longhorns played in their first of what would be 16 bowl games over the next 20 years; three for national championships. In 23 years as head coach, he never had a losing season. The Longhorns finished in the top 10 nationally during 11 of those seasons. In 1962, Royal assumed the dual role of Athletics Director and head football coach at the University of Texas. He retired from coaching in 1976 to concentrate on his duties as Athletic Director. Royal hired the nation’s first academic counselor. During his coaching years, four out of five men who lettered for Royal went on to earn their degrees. Darrell Royal’s honors include membership in both the Texas and Oklahoma Sports Halls of Fame and in the Longhorn Hall of Honor. He was twice named Coach of the Year by the American Football Coaches and three times by the Football Writers of America.
