  1. There’s only one person to blame for the nature of Schloss’s departure and his name is Kirk Bohls. Plenty of people on the Texas side knew about it. Only one felt the need to blab for their own enrichment leaving Schloss in a no win situation.
  2. Hank, you say Burke didn't do anything to hurt his stock, but those testing numbers seem really poor. What am I missing?
  3. What would you call what he’s doing now? Last night was choosing not to try.
  4. You’ve got Grubbs, too. This was a case of trying to steal a win by stretching pitching instead of taking the opportunity to win when it presented itself. If Schloss truly thought that was his best chance of winning, then Cozart or Volantis has to move from starter to close out games. What was rolled out last night not only didn’t work in that one instance, it’s not sustainable.
  5. I honestly thought he might have left the team when he didn’t get in versus aTm with the kicker blowing kick after kick. But there was an article on him this week that he’s with the team and then headed back to Austin for UT spring semester right after the game. If he didn’t get in against aTm, he ain’t getting in tonight.
  6. Max is not a huge fan of personal space.
  7. It was a textbook toss on the handoff from Quinn. Textbook.
  8. My father in law (in jest) spent Thanksgiving asking others if they agreed with my indoctrination of my son to work on changing the vibes when things aren’t working. We definitely changed up clothes at DKR at halftime and texted the proof out after the game.
  9. Reminder that Brian Kelly killed a kid.
  10. It’s just not true, and I’m honestly baffled that anyone could believe it. A team and a player’s performance in a game is the best indicator of the talent level and likely future performance. The idea that you would ignore poor performances because the team won is silly. The idea that you’d ignore good performances because the team lost is silly.
  11. Rebuilding means you have young players getting experience to be better the next year. This OL is old and terrible. That’s not rebuilding. No one in the RB room is looking like a difference maker regardless of age. Young WR aren’t getting reps or stepping up. So that’s not rebuilding. Arch is a third year player in the program.
  12. For the olds. https://youtu.be/lGuMci4S1Ys?si=tNadcjffqGwkFuV5
  13. I love SEC Shorts, but if you're not also watching SEC Roll Call, you're missing out. You need to scroll to find them within Matt Mitchell's channel: Matt Mitchell - YouTube A few great ones:
  14. Yes. A team with three established weekend starters and a plan for weekday games. Texas has done it multiple times over the years. This team was getting so close to stability with Riojas taking over Sunday. Then Stewart hurt and moving from Sunday to Friday broke Riojas.
  15. Unfortunately this is not a roster built for the loser’s bracket path. We saw that in the mid week games after Spencer went out. The replacement for Gasporino is Farmer. It’s been there. The replacement for Flores is Mendoza-A Rod up the middle. But obviously Mendoza has an Astros-level hidden injury if he’s still not ready to play the field.
  16. Given this is the first game I’ve watched this year I can confidently say that was a really dumb decision to bring in a senior with barely any game experience to pitch.
  17. Hard to ever say Volantis is the wrong call, but was surprised to not ride with Burns.
  18. It would worry me. Beard is an excellent coach. Don't care where RT goes, assistant or otherwise. Good luck to him, and if that's the job he gets then happy for him.
  19. As an Astros fan, unfortunately…
  20. The thing about the bubble every year is none of these teams “deserve” anything. It’s levels of mediocrity. If you’re fighting for the last few spots you haven’t done what is needed to be safely in. The national outrage is always weird. To me it’s a much bigger deal to get the top of the draw seeded correctly and not hurt a team that earned a top seed.
  21. Sorry you went out there for that. I guess the fact that four of five Texas players withdrew reduces the concerns about Blue’s withdrawal.
