So a person in that position should give the team 100K for no reason?  

Or give the team/program what they needed to have a season? 

Sorry, but give me a break. The guy did something really good for a bunch of kids that were in danger of not having a season.

Who said anything about him, or any person in his position, giving anyone $100k?  I know I didn’t.  I was just pointing out that one might consider tempering the praise a little, considering how little money that is to him, especially given the positive press that he, or more correctly, his publicist, obtained for this gesture.  Obviously I’m glad the kids get their season but let’s breathe a little perspective into the gift.

Honestly the more time that passes from him playing at OU the more I actually like the guy.  At the end of the day we messed up by not offering him to begin with.
