  1. Miami, Clemson, USC
  2. Should raise her ranking to the 85-100 range
  3. Then that is really really poor considering we probably don’t get him either.
  4. With portal being so prominent, I don’t think there’s any problem at all with developmental players. Especially if you believe their potential is very high.
  5. Got him for an absolute steal. 50m across 3 years is a great deal for Dallas.
  6. And I fully agree with the end that the ranking of class doesn't really matter. It's what is in the class and filling positions of need at the time. Texas has got a lot of work to do on defense as a whole.
  7. The Michael Terry one was put in there almost exclusively because Jordan Scruggs at 247 put in a crystal ball for him today and that gave me some confidence to do it. Hines I admittedly haven't kept up a ton with, but regardless, I'd assume there would be a 3rd WR in the class and he's not extremely highly ranked so it would probably only make the score better if it was someone else. Fasusi was a big swing one that I am nervous about. We just need to land one of him or Lamont Rogers.
  8. Since I know Class rankings overall matters to a lot of people, I decided to take a look at the 2024 class and compare it to the potential of this class. The 2024 class in terms of strictly high school recruiting, finished with 22 recruits and a 247 grade of 286.90. Below I'll list players that seem to be eventual Texas commits and will be adding it to the calculator. Smith Orogbo, EDGE, Alief (Texas) Hastings Nick Townsend, TE, Dekaney (Texas) High Kade Phillips, DB, Missouri City (Texas) Hightower D.J. Sanders, DL, Bellville (Texas) High Michael Terry II, ATH, San Antonio (Texas) Alamo Heights Dakorien Moore, WR, Duncanville (Texas) High Jaime Ffrench, WR, Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin Jonathan Cunningham, LB, Fort Worth (Texas) North Crowley Nathan Tilmon, S, Mansfield (Texas) Timberview Nick Brooks, OT, Cedar Rapids (Ia.) John F. Kennedy This would put Texas at 22 commits & a 247 grade of 288.62. Which would surpass the 2024 mark while having an equal number of commits. Now adding in some maybes... Texas won't only land 2 WRs. Gerry and/or CJ have mentioned at different times the potential of Tanook Hines joining the class. Also I would like to think we are still in a good spot for Fasusi. (Hopefully) Tanook Hines, WR, Houston (Texas) Dekaney Michael Fasusi, OT, Lewisville (Texas) High Adding those two to the class would bring this class to 24 commits & a 247 grade of 297.73. Now surely the class will go in many different ways from here, and I just can't see any scenario where the staff would be okay with only 2 DL commits unless they decide the portal is the best path. Also, the staff surely will have some players rise in importance based on senior evaluations. This was just a fun experiment though, and this class can still definitely be very very good with all of the talent left.
  9. I know. I was just pointing out how before, everyone on OTF said we would get pretty easily 3 or more guys from A&M. I doubt that’s true now.
  10. We barely gonna get any of their guys now I would guess.
  11. No, no. He quite literally did. And it is not good.
  12. Well Gerry literally less than a week ago said Texas either led or was in a 50/50 battle for Sharma, Charles, and Brew. So yes, it is bad.
  13. Looks like we’re gonna lose out on Aidan Anding as well… they gotta figure it out quickly on defense cause we’re losing so many recruiting battles on that side. I get the whole “doesn’t matter til they sign” thing, but losing THIS many head to head battles is not good at all.

  14. If they used their 17th pick on him, then I could understand this. It was the 55th pick though at the end of the draft. Don't think LeBron should really be questioned for this.
  15. @Gerry Hamilton @CJ Vogel Do y’all think with USC’s class falling apart and all the momentum they’re losing, it could help us with Trestin Castro or maybe lead to Hayden Lowe decommitting and Texas being back in it for him?
  16. Is this the new thing for future commits lol?
  17. No doubt. I won’t ever worry about Sark bringing in at least a solid class. Transfer portal also changes recruiting a lot now.
  18. I have no doubts about Sark bringing in a good class. I know we will be fine regardless, but with the recent news about Fasusi and OU, and then Pettijohn with Ohio St/A&M… I’m feeling less confident in this class than I was a couple weeks ago. Losing both of them would be extremely disappointing.
  19. Losing Fasusi would be a disaster
  20. Could also be Tilmon. That probably would be my guess
  21. I 100% thought this was about Brown so good to know it's not one of our current guys. I would assume it's Trestin Castro, but maybe Hilson. Hopefully good news soon.
  22. Cunningham maybe if they pushed for it. Maybe Orogbo since he's committing in 2 weeks.
  23. Can you give a guess on when either one will go public?
  24. Wonder if this changes A&M’s chances with Linkon Cure at all. I know they would likely take Cure over Kiotti, so moreso wondering if Cure jumps in, if it may lead to Kiotti jumping out.
