Hi to them too. What’s your point? I do think he could be equally as good or better at Georgia. I’m not saying he is at his absolute best here or we are the only school he could reach that. I’m simply saying he wouldn’t be THIS good at ANY school.

It’s not burnt orange glasses to say he would be a better player at Texas than at Texas A&M.

Debatable and the difference between just a first round pick and a top 5 pick is massive. Like Shemar Stewart would have been likely a top 5 pick at a school that could actually develop him. Colin Simmons would be good anywhere. He wouldn’t be all time elite anywhere.

Colin Simmons would not be as good at other schools as he is at Texas.

I actually strongly disagree. A&Ms 2022 DL class is proof of that. None of them had great careers with A&M. Even guys like Shemar Stewart, he went 1st round purely on athleticism alone. His college production was historically low for a first rounder. Then you had guys like Walter Nolen who got so much better once they left A&M.

I truly wonder how a player on the DL can look at how underwhelming DL and Edge players have been over the last 3 years at A&M and still want to go there.

Going to get a top 5 RB in the nation in KJ Edwards. I think we’re fine lol.

This whole “if you’re committed you can’t visit anywhere else” thought process seems so foolish to me. Especially when you see that now it seems like USC is out of the running entirely. You’d really rather him be committed while ignoring every other school, or you’ll just turn a shoulder to him? As a parent, I wouldn’t like that at all and it won’t be surprising when they lose more recruits.

Before OVs start, can we get another best case scenario class?

Yeah knowing how rare it is for Sark to give out QB offers, that's one that would be really telling if it actually does happen. Even just seeing a school like A&M or him getting his first couple out of state offers will be interesting to look out for.

I graduated from Waller back in 2017, and people around here have been talking about how they have a really good Freshman QB now so I was interested. He was first team all district and newcomer of the year as a Freshman in a somewhat decent district with a lot of Cypress schools. He already holds offers from UTSA, TCU, Baylor, SMU, and now Houston. I know class of 2028 guys are very far away but I was wondering from people who know the industry and maybe know upcoming guys @CJ Vogel @Gerry Hamilton if there has been any type of chatter at all about him and if he actually seems like a legit QB at the next level? I'd assume he's mostly unknown up to this point but know he's also a solid baseball prospect. Would just be cool to have a very solid prospect out of Waller. Cody Johnson back in 2007 is the only one we've ever really had.

Felix Ojo has flown up rankings and is the 6th overall prospect in the nation according to the On3 Industry rankings. On3 has him 10th, 247 has him 7th, Rivals has him 11th. When he talks about Texas, he mentions that they are telling him he's their guy and top priority on the line. (I'm sure they might say this to multiple people) Curious if y'all think Ojo has passed up Turntine and others as the overall top priority on the OL, or if maybe he has always been that? Also curious if y'all think he actually is better than guys like Turntine and Greene? Is Turntine looking like a guard at the college level? Not sure his arm length but 6'3 is on the shorter end for an OT.

On3 updated their 2026 rankings and Felix Ojo shot up the rankings. Got me wondering, what are the chances Texas can land 2 of these 3?

Is no longer taking an OV. That hurts. I thought he still would’ve made it out here for it.

Steve Wiltfong said he expects Texas to get an official visit on top of LSU and Ohio State already having OVs scheduled. I didn’t even know we were on his radar at all so this seems encouraging. Imagine it would be hard to pull him away from LSU but this is a step to that!

I've wondered a bit why Gerry and maybe CJ(?) seem a decent bit higher on Ffrench than Lockett. Obviously both are elite talents but Lockett seems to be generally higher across most sites and seemed to be the one making more noise at camps.
