    If Texas is going win a Natty. Sark. must expand our variety of coaches and consultants. We not.only need to have ties to Georgia, Florida and Louisiana and at home in Texas but it is time we have significant leadership that has RECENT ties to the BIG TEN, FCS, and HBCUs. We can no longer be so arrogant as to think our staff and players must come from the same traditional sources they have in the past.  And Finally, we must begin to seriously recruit internationally! We need to lead in this effort, not follow! We need 105 people on our roster and we can develop talent! We'll portal. We need to look at junior colleges (heaven forbid). We're BlueBloods and people want to be part of a BlueBlood program, so let's evaluate potential and find Michael Taafes and others like him. Some have size and physical attributes.  Others are smart, intuitive,  and possess a different set of skills and mind for the game. All of which help to produce a great team. Big Humans and. Skilled people are important,  but indiana just proved heart and culture are also very, very important to winning.  Hook Em!

    Trinity Chambliss, Diego Pavia, Michael Taafe, were all no bodies till they were game changers! I don't see Texas looking for these players. They accidentally come our way every so often but we are TEXAS. We have the staff to scout the entire country, the FBS, FCS, the junior colleges and find guys who can play and stay in the classroom. We have resources, tutors, and we know how to polish and develop skills. Oh we brought in the guy from Big Sky Country and UTSA, but we haven't mined the HBCUs. Here is where those lineman and slot receivers to be discovered. We have always had a disdain for junior college transfers. Kansas State built their program around these players and gave us a run for our money for years! Go after the blue blood aces, but at the same time drill down and discover the next Taafe, Chambliss, and get our incoming freshmen ready. Let Cooper loose. Let someone fly. Sign some some depth for special teams. It is not going to be easy but there are òver 4000 candidates out there. Indiana knows how to do it. So should we. Hook Em!

    Bond will not be drafted because of his legal issues. Quinn won't be drafted because of his medical history. Jake is only one who has a chance now.

    U T can do anything it sets its mind on... however, I think we need to hire the young up and coming coach from Division 2 or Historic Black College ranks. Someone who can spot and develop talent that others over look. We need someone with vision AND character. In other words... a winner.

    It's interesting that Texas is favored to win it all on some sites but isn't favored to win the Cotton Bowl against whoever... this would be a home adjacent game for the Horns! It's like Atlanta for Georgia. Needless to say, it's schizophrenic to predict for us overall and against near term in our own backyard. Bevo will dump on that. And The Horns will stomp on that. Hook Em!

    The Aggies sang of sawing off Horns. They swayed back and forth on the field just like their fans.

    Nobody in the SEC wants to see UT... sorry Tennessee, win in their first year. A&M has never even been to the SEC Championship Game much less win it and they had a decade headstart. Arkansas had over a quarter of a century. And at least Tennessee won a national championship... in 98 but they last won the SEC in 1989... I didn’t have my flip phone or AOL yet. Lol.

    SEC... "This is Texas. What happens here Changes the World!" Cronkite said it... Sarkisian is implementing it!

    Thr OL's most important week is this off week. It is also Ewers most significant week. The OL needs to figure out how to block the blitzes. And Ewers needs recognize them, RELAX, and throw to the hot receiver. And everyone learn what the officials are considering a holding call against Texas... at least... and and watch yourselves.... the SEC is outto get you... lol... just ask Kirby Smart!

    Hey guys, we're in bowl. We get to take a bus ride! Going to San Antonio is a destination trip for other teams, but not for the Horns! The Big 12 bowl contracts were boring destinations.

Ryan Day now has to compete against SC, NikeU, PaternoSt, AND the SignalStealers from up north. Buck Up, and we'll send you extra helmet sticker! HOOK EM!

    Harbaugh took 2 Wolverines really late to make sure they had 13 on the field... I mean they won the title for most signals stolen... err.. players drafted! I got it right the third time... not sure if there was any illegal contact or not... Harbaugh maybe with the Chargers but remains to be seen if he will turn pro.

    Mitchell is going to be pissed when he gets picked in the second because Buffalo traded down... twice... Texas should have had 3 go in the first... but the best part of the first round was watching it with On Texas Footabll... it was way better that watching it with the GOAT... and abc... Ray was outstanding.... Bobby was fascinating... CJ was insightful when he chimed in... Coach always knows the history, Babers is a hoot and usually he's right and Gerrry was Gerry... I sometimes wonder if he talks in his sleep! Here a fact there a fact... that guy knows more info about these young players than AI. That said... I sure wish you guys were going to be on tonight... Again you're way better than then Espn on ABC ... or as I would say it Every Special Person, and Need, AND BLATANT CAPITALISM..... It made for an interesting event... kids about to get rich.... while other people get 30 seconds of shade. On Texas Football was real and fun and down to earth and it was all about sports! Hook Em!     SMU got what they paid for... and they paid for it... almost for 4 full decades... Nick Saban quit when it became all about what you get paid for... it's still a game... just ask the folks in Ukraine, Gaza, Israel... and disaster areas everywhere... On Texas Football is wonderful and May the Eyes of Texas be on us all... May that Tower glow Burnt Orange every Saturday night in 2024 and we'll into 2025... Hook' Em and enjoy it... while it's still a game!

    Cal's Freshman recruit em use em and then their "One and Done" approach is not much different from the NIL Portal approach... it's still "One and Done" but on a whole different level. The question is, can Cal develop skills in players that are already at the top of their skill set. He's good with high school kids, but can he intice the best to come his way and can he devise a method to make them a juggernaut. I mean Razerbacks. Calling all pigs. I thing this is going to stink.

    How is it a university matter... the dude did the deed and the dude is done! What's left for the university to do but send him his final check and get his keys... UNLESS... there are others involved... HMM....

    This is the type of development and growth Texas needs to see on a regular basis. UT will draw more recruits in future if more sophomores morph into strong players and potential NFL talent down the road. Good piece C J.
