  1. I'm seeing really good passing tonight. We still aren't doing a lot to screen away from the ball to get guys open, but we aren't relying on guys tying to make their own shots. Good ball movement so far. Let's finish this with a win.
  2. Wow. Pryor in the first half.
  3. Mark is really having a great game so far.
  4. Announcers: That's a play on. That's not a foul. Video: Fears diving into Shedrick's knees.
  5. Larry finds the crease and dishes for the Shedrick clam. we're up 12. Well, 10 after OU got the rebound after a miss and the putback. Make that 13 after we hit a three. Make that 11 after they hit a 2. Fast action.l
  6. And just like that we are up 10 after Pope cans a three.
  7. Kent comes in and immediately gets a rebound. Good to see.
  8. We're only winning because of OU's turnovers right now.
  9. It's usually an issue when the feed switches from one game to another.
  10. Onyema fed twice at point blank. Fumbled the first pass, but saved it from going out of bounds, only for Pope to utterly brick a three. Drew the foul on the second. Will go to the line for 2 shots. TV timeout. Texas up 16-12.
  11. Nice transition basket through defenders. Johnson with pass ahead to Larry to Kaluma to drive the lane. Was beautiful transition offense.
  12. Nice start. 9-4 Horns. We've twice slapped the ball off the driving guard's knee.
  13. Our last two opponents that were ranked 1 and 2 just torched ranked opponents by 18 and 22 points tonight and last night. Home games, not road games for them, but 20 point margins says something. Our team still has a chance to prove itself. It needs to continue to improve on both ends, and it might not be improving fast enough, but I'm seeing improvement.
  14. SEC tripleheader tonight with tip offs at 5, 7, and 9. OU is a team that shoots very well but is pants at rebounding, and its overall defense is sketchy. I always thought this would be our best chance of avoiding a 0-5 start to the conference. BTW, Calipari's Arkansas team is currently 0-4. Nice return on the Tyson money there so far.
  15. I thought the offense was much more a team effort than in previous games. It's still not anything remotely like a Dan Hurley passing attack, but it was definitely a couple of steps up from stuff I'd been seeing. A few things stood out-- We badly missed having Weaver on the floor. We lost consecutive games to the #1 and #2 teams in the country, while being in a one possession game in the last 90 seconds against each of them. (OK, Auburn game wasn't that close, we only got to one possession with 17 seconds to go.) We were missing our second leading rebounder in those games and got clubbed on the boards. The rebound disparity more than anything determined those losses, unless you want to think Auburn just coasted and we never would have made a game of it otherwise. We gave up 17 offensive rebounds to Tennessee while grabbing only 13 defensive rebounds. Shedrick was a monster on the offensive glass last night, a big reason we were in it all game, but you can't expect to win many games when you get less than half of the rebounds on your defensive end. We don't have anyone who could stay in front of Ziegler, not that staying in front of Ziegler is an easy thing to do. Secondary defenders did a good job of cutting him off and forcing the pass, but Tennessee managed to convert a lot of chances down the stretch by Ziegler driving, drawing defenders, taking advantage of the repositioning by getting rebounding position, kicking out, and getting the rebound after the perimeter shooter missed. Those are the sorts of plays in which Weaver often takes advantage of the movement and chaos and goes soaring above everyone to grab the board. See previous paragraph. Kent has been awful since returning from injury. Six points on 1/12 from the field and 3/5 from the line with just 4 rebounds in 51 minutes in conference play. Onyema has 5 rebounds in 18 minutes in conference, but he also picked up 9 fouls. Between the two of them, they managed one steal and no blocks. I can't imagine how Vinson and Codie could produce less than what Kent and Onyema have of late.
  16. Missed tenn ft but offensive rebound. Double game. Down 7 with 11 seconds left.
  17. Tenn hits layup at end of shot clock and we never get anything going on our possession and wind p with Tre hairball. Game
  18. A game for Kent to remember in a desire to improve. Had the nice assist, but 0 rebounds and missed front end
  19. Rough sequence put Tenn up three. Ball slipped out of Larry's hands, Ziegler travel went uncalled, Tenn missed three put back by Okpara.
  20. Kaluma 3 in and out. Their three out but followed by a slam. Tie game with 6:13 left. We're 6/21 on 3s. Tenn is 8/19.
  21. Tenn biggest rebounder picked up 4th with 7:30 to go.
  22. Larry was the victim of an Okpara if I hit the ball then I can kill you block. Later in possession h gets cntact and hits ft. We up 5
