  1. The Rockets have a ton of talent but they were one of the worst teams in the NBA in half court offense. Clearly they got KD with the idea that he'll help solve that one weakness, and he isn't gonna do that by standing on the 3 point line like Ray Allen on the Heat! That's all I'm saying.
  2. Yeah whether he can stay healthy is a big question for sure. Hope it goes well!
  3. Of course they will keep his minutes down in the meaningless regular season, but you gotta be kidding me suggesting Sengun would be the #1 option on offense. He averaged 19 ppg on 54% TS compared to KD averaging 26 ppg at 64% TS. KD is far and away the best offensive player in that roster and got him specifically because they needed a number one option down the stretch of close games. It's not at all like Ray Allen standing on the 3 point line watching prime LeBron James and Dwayne Wade. That's just silly.
  4. Uhmm, who do you think will be the #1 offensive option on the rockets over Kevin Durant? I'm sorry but Ray Allen on the heat is not a great comparison. Maybe more like Shaq when he went to Miami.
  5. So is this guy 100% Tech, or is Texas still trying to get him?
  6. Fairly unlikely that Bell gets two years with Arch. He may not even get one year with Arch.
  7. That was a redshirt year so that didn't cost him at all. It's not like he was going to redshirt in 2022... Quinn could have come back and probably would have if not for Arch. The issue was that UT wasn't going to take him back as the starter and he didn't want to end his career at a different school, which I respect a lot!
  8. The hunting stuff with Quinn has always been cringey but that pic takes it to a new level.
  9. I think Quinn with the dolphins is similar. That might be the single best team for him to be on. Maybe the one saving grace for his slide.
  10. I think Majors, Bond, and Quinn all have a decent chance in the 7th round so it could be up to 14. Maybe even Bolden.
  11. Colt made almost $30M! Not bad at all.
  12. Eagles are so good at grabbing the "elite potential but slipped because of xyz" guys...
  13. Who is trashing Sark? I always thought "what if Arch was our starter in 2024?" would go down as a great Texas football what-if, but I understand why Sark did what he did. I think Sark did really well with Quinn, he just is what he is is which is above average college QB, career backup NFL QB. Arch is obviously much more talented but he lacked experience.
  14. Both are looking like bad choices to go pro. The question is which of the two is more likely to string enough NFL contracts together to not miss the potential NIL they could have had in 2025.
  15. Honestly our man Gerry did big Cam no favors constantly hyping him as a potential 1st rounder. In hindsight it was ridiculous that this guy went pro after ~10 starts that all contained backbreaking penalties and pass protection busts. Not to say that he doesn't have the raw talent, but he obviously needed to come back and play a cleaner year.
  16. Lol wow. I think I that's the first one I don't see at all. Isn't Mertz basically a worse version of Quinn?
  17. Really should have hit the portal as he is still a pretty good college QB that would have had 7 figure offers.
  18. Quinn obviously should have followed the Carson Beck path and did a year at another school. But I'm selfishly glad he didn't so that we don't have any conflict in remembering him as a Longhorn.
  19. Tbh I can see Gabriel > Quinn. Quinn's lack of mobility and feel in the pocket is a real problem. Yes he's bigger than Gabriel but he's still undersized and injury prone himself. With a Sanders, that has to be mainly teams not wanting to deal with the ego and family drama.
  20. Man you obviously weren't here for the Chris Simms years. Him and Ewers had very similar careers but the hate for Simms was 10x what it is for Quinn.
  21. Yes... I think Quinn will be a solid backup with an outside chance of developing into a decent starter. If a team takes him first round it's kind of on them. If he goes 3rd or 4th round like he should then that is not a bust. Were Colt McCoy, Simms, or Ehlinger busts? I definitely wouldn't say that for any of them. VY at #3 overall is a bit different.
  22. For sure. I mean it's not easy to be an NFL starter. Even our legendary QBs haven't been able to make that work. Quinn was a great player for us and personally I put him on the Sam Ehlinger / Chris Simms / Major Applewhite tier of the pyramid a step below Colt.
  23. I had high hopes for Quinn after the Bama and OU games in year one, but by the end of 2024 his limitations had been made very clear. NFL teams love the idea of a good QB on a rookie contract and maybe that gets him over drafted. He does have an arm that gives him more upside than some others, but IMO there is a ton of development needed to be a legit NFL starter.
  24. Sounds really harsh but I definitely don't see a likely NFL starter in Quinn. That doesn't make him a bust unless he just gets drafted in the first 2 rounds or something. Assuming he is in the 3rd or later he won't be a bust. Quinn has a number of red flags IMO. Not very big, not very athletic, injury prone, and poor presence in the pocket. Not great vision as a passer either. The strengths are an NFL starter arm and the ability to execute a complex offense pre snap. I think he could be a good pick for someone who could use a backup but doesn't need a new starter immediately. Realistically Quinn should have played another year of college ball but I'm selfishly glad he didn't, just so we can remember him purely as a Longhorn.
  25. I'm not a baseball guy either (don't watch MLB whatsoever) but it's the Longhorns in an otherwise dry part of the sports calendar. Baseball is also a nice sport to have on in the background while you tend to other things around the house! Definitely not glued to the TV like football.
