  1. The SEC sucks. All they did was provide us 7 patsies + UGA. Playing in the Big 12 in 2022 we were the #1 SOS in the entire country! Thx for the TV money though.
  2. Dude has been dominating in the NFL so far! Definitely one of the most memorable players I have seen at UT. Our defense would be absolutely incredible if we had him this year.
  3. Did you watch the video? That video is it being called this season.
  4. This is incorrect. Pushing is legal, pulling is not. The play should have been a 5 yard penalty. This is an official video from the NCAA:
  5. Why do you say that? No way we are taking him back next year, given situation with Arch. If it's in his best interest to play another year of CFB (and IMO it probably is) then I support it and will root for him, assuming it's not some kind of rival or something.
  6. Feels like the NIL demands of these two were not reasonable. The WR has 800 yards and 3 TDs over two years... The DB probably won't see the field here. I get that there is a level of untapped potential here but personally I'm not allocating especially significant NIL resources to these two. Of course I'm sure they eventually will accept the market reality, in which case they could definitely help our team.
  7. Dude is a lot better than Carson Beck that is for sure lol
  8. Would be really dumb for an NFL team to match that $110M contract and it would be really dumb for Riley to forego that money to go be an NFL OC. Riley as an NFL HC would be a bad hire, but even if it happened you aren't giving him a 10 year contract. It's an awkward situation but until USC pulls an A&M (with Jimbo) it is what it is for both parties.
  9. Forgot about this guy. I guess he didn't end up playing much at Auburn?
  10. There are two QBs here: Sanders and Ward. After that, I wonder if someone reaches for Beck even though he has sucked this year, just based on tools. I cannot see someone using a first on Quinn at this point. Looks like a late 2nd or 3rd to me.
  11. SP+ has us as one of the very worst special teams in the entire country. -2 points per game compared to the average team and -4 points compared to the best special teams. Of course it's primarily a result of Auburn and the punters rather than Bolden, but still, it's been a very disappointing year on that front.
  12. I think Quinn has an adequate arm for the NFL, but if you think he has standout arm strength at the NFL level then we are just not watching the same player. I'm not saying Quinn lacks tools to play in the NFL, I just don't think those tools are anywhere near overwhelming enough for him to be perceived as an especially high-upside draft prospect.
  13. Quinn does not have huge upside, though. He has a smaller frame, meh athleticism, and average at best (for the NFL) arm strength. The guy is not exactly Anthony Richardson out there. I see him as a third rounder you draft primarily as a backup, ala Colt or Sam. Absolute best case would be that is a Baker Mayfield or Kirk Cousins type starter. More likely is a Gardner Minshew type.
  14. I've never had a problem with Simms. Dude sucked really bad in one big game against Colorado, and was mediocre in his games against OU, but every great Texas QB has had bad games here and there. Simms in the 2002 season was quite good; our problems that season were really on the OL. Honestly I see Quinn and Simms on the same level. Not at that Colt/VY level, but both are/were good QBs and we have had a hell of a lot worse at the position.
  15. Moore explanation does not make sense given all the reps Bolden had in the slot. If he was not injured it was a poor choice to sit him, because we were obviously missing his blocking in the screen game.
  16. Great win IMO. Never thought this game in Fayetteville would be easy.
  17. How is that Quinn's fault? Was a perfect pass. Bolden has to catch it.
  18. Doubtful. One downside of the A&M rivalry returning is that we no longer have the guaranteed Thanksgiving weekend home night game.
  19. It's another game that we only lose if Quinn keeps giving them short fields.
  20. Personally I'll pass on listening to Georgia homers talk about this game
  21. It's clearly not actually an "unreviewable play" given that the ref was (allegedly, but we all know this is true) able to watch the replay on the jumbotron and realize that his call was idiotic. There is no excuse for the ruleset to not include a mechanism of reviewing this play. This rule should be changed tomorrow.
  22. Joel Klatt had a good discussion of this in his podcast. The solution is some kind of review/challenge mechanism to allow an incredibly bad game changing call like this to be overturned. I didn't throw trash on the field but I understand why it happened as that was an absolute disaster of a call. SEC needs to be accountable themselves for unacceptable officiating.
  23. Not saying throwing trash in the field specifically was warranted, but an extreme expression of frustration with the call from both the crowd and Sark was appropriate. The fact that IT WORKED tells you all you need to know. This call was so bad the officials were ashamed to stand by it.
  24. I don't agree at all. It's up to the refs to provide a reasonable standard of officiating. I've never seen DKR erupt over officiating on this level. Is this a culture change or was the call they threatened to make just that bad? IMO it was the latter. I'd be kind of pissed if our crowd took that one lying down.
  25. 🤣 The SEC can F off with that one. Officials should be embarrassed for making the call in the first place. Considering impact and game situation I think it was the single worst call I have seen in almost 30 years of going to UT games. The Charlie Strong OSU situation is the only thing that is even close.
