  1. I think legitimately in our side of the bracket Tennessee, Oregon, and Ohio St all can. Good thing those teams could potentially knock each other out. Of our side of the bracket Clemson also has the front that can do it. I don't know if they have the linebackers to be able to but they have a pretty good secondary.
  2. I don't think you can compare QB play from late 90s to QB play of today with regards to stats....
  3. Tom Herman NSD'd the crowd
  4. If we can pry Michael Ttaaffee's long lost brother from ND that would be amazing!
  5. He could fit that depth, Mo Blackwell type role.
  6. He’s not a fit at all with what they want to do offensively
  7. In the day and age of fully guaranteed contracts you'd be an idiot to leave on your own accord and not make them fire you and collect the buyout. In this instance that buyout is 37 million dollars
  8. Aggie jarred mayo.....how could he pass that up! 😲
  9. I think they're much better in the secondary than A&M.
  10. Already setting up a visit to Georgia this week.
  11. To be fair I don't think he had the coin to go be successful at the position. This is the first year we've thrown big money at the position.
  12. But I did mention this a week or two ago....
  13. Playoff Seed - Team - Defensive FEI Rank 1. Oregon - 15 2. Georgia - 13 3. Boise St - 30 4. Arizona St - 34 5. Texas - 1 6. Penn St - 12 7. Notre Dame - 2 8. Ohio St - 3 9. Tennessee - 4 10. Indiana - 19 11. SMU - 10 12. Clemson - 23 Just in our side of the bracket alone we have the potential to play the 3rd, 4th, and 15th best defenses in the country. We will face Clemson who is a top 25 defense in the country as well. As you can tell from the above, every team in the playoff plays really good with Boise St(30) and Arizona St(34) being the lowest ranked defensive FEI teams. Clemson is very strong on the interior and across the front of their defense. That could present problems. At some point we will have to play better on offense because you can't solely rely on one side of the ball in a playoff. We will run into a team we will have to outscore.
  14. This guy and the WKU guy would be 2 good ones to target early...especially if we want to sign 3-4 portal guys
  15. It's a combination of stuff but he misses a lot of throws in the endzones and redzone because he tries to throw to spots on floaters. The only time he uses his arm IMO are on 1 read designed throws to receivers on whips our outs. You watch a lot of football and you see QBs always threading needles with arm strength in tight windows to get touchdowns. I just think if he doesn't have his first read in the redzone he doesn't know what to do. I think he severely lacks processing power needed to be a really good QB.
  16. Quinn is what he is at this point though. We have his entire time at Texas save a handful of games where he is just absolutely dreadful in the red zone regardless of positive or negatives once we enter there. We were in the bottom 1/4 of teams last season in red zone efficiency and over the back half of this season I'd imagine we were the same.
  17. This is our depth next season. Gullette is the great unknown if he will stay with program or progress enough to be a contributor. So outside of Hill, Lefau, and Smith we basically only have 2 true freshmen. My question would be do we only need 1 LB from portal or should we get 2 for depth purposes?
  18. Keep Klub in the pocket, don't let him beat you with his legs....that's the key.
  19. It’s because Quinn is a 1 read QB
  20. Heard him and Big Bill are really good friends.....
  21. I don't think one has entered that I'd truly go after yet. Oatis isn't good and has regressed....he'll be ranked high in portal simply based of his HS ranking.
  22. Yup, he always says we should do XYZ after the fact but when it comes to it he never does. If Arch isn’t getting 10-20 snaps vs Clemson especially in the red zone that’s failure from Sark imo
