  1. Texas athletics as a whole needs to look at the state of college athletics and realize going by the letter of the law has no benefit and there is no true punishment for bending rules and/or breaking them. Operate in the grey area at all times.
  2. I hope when they retire arch's 16 they also include street as part of the retirement, he deserves it as well!
  3. He was our leading receiver and on pace for over a 1000 yards until the ankle. He was going to be a day 2 pick until this came up.
  4. How dare you besmirch the ability of Joe Tatum.
  5. He did choose Oklahoma
  6. It is quite literally why he will be scrutinized.
  7. But it does give them more lead way with Texas fans. They left it all on the field and with Ewers it felt like he left a lot to be desired, especially considering the team talent around him. Either way it's a complete deflection away from Quinn to even bring them up.
  8. Vince was rookie of the year and a pro bowler. Colt had a 10+ year career in the nfl. Quinn I don’t think will touch either of those.
  9. Well also both accomplished more at Texas than Ewers.
  10. Because I watch a lot of football and his game was on during that time slot yesterday.
  11. He showed all the exact same problems he had here yesterday. Dude is a practice/7on7 hero that is scared of a rush.
  12. Best to just put him on ignore. He brings no value and is just a twitter troll.
  13. Outside of Texas an Aggie degree is a run of the mill degree.
  14. Right now they don’t have pads on, I’d wait until pads come on and see how his participation is with full contact.
  15. Good thing we increased our women's scholarship counts! And no, women do not deserve equal NIL share because they're sports do not make money and revenue isn't federally gifted money. With that said if a school borrows from academic side to pay for NIL they that school specifically should be subject to Title IX policy with regards to NIL.
  16. Tell this to Halliburton....there is countless examples of athletes rushing back recovery and getting hurt again. Hell Johnathan Brooks is a prime example of this to keep it Longhorn related. His knee injury just wasn't an ACL. It was ACL and his MCL that needed to be surgically repaired and his PCL suffered damage as well but fortunately for him it wasn't a complete tear and didn't need surgery. That is dang near every ligament in his knee that was damage in some sort of severity. His recovery should be slower to ensure the knee is strong as it possibly can be.
  17. That would be detrimental to his recovery and could even put him at higher risk of injuring himself again.
  18. You can’t look at game 20 years ago and translate production to today’s offenses and rules. With Tua missing games in 2019 him and Mac combined for over 4300 yards. Mac in 2020 had 4500.
  19. IMO the QB the past two years was a limiting factor in that. Can’t run it up if your QB can’t connect deep and you always have to rely on a 5-15 yard pass being housed.
  20. Completion percentage doesn’t need to be 67% or better. You can be low 60s and be highly productive and throw for a lot of yards. We really just need to convert redzone opportunities. We were so bad at that the last two years.
