  1. How was he this season? Awful. Good he hit some home runs but he was trash in conference hitting .176 BA. Sorry not sorry but he wasn't good. .239 BA - 11th on team .808 OPS - 8th on team .317 OB% - 13th on team 4th on team in strike outs Tied for team lead in errors Above average in terms of fielding percentage.
  2. Saw this mentioned in another thread and it could be a good offseason thread. I'd like to hear @Bobby Burton @Jeff Howe @Blake Munroe @CJ Vogel @Gerry Hamilton opinions as well. Lets break this into 3 categories being men, women, and coaches to start. If you want you can add your overall but I think splitting them into men's and women's makes sense and could give more recognition to the women's side of our university. Lastly coaching would be a fun and exciting to hear some different perspectives on. Men: Vince Young, TJ Ford, Houston Street, Ben Crenshaw I give Vince the nod here over some of the other football players in our history because he's considered a top 5ish QB in the history of the sport and his on field performance in leading Texas to a national championship. I also give TJ the nod here because of on court performance and leading Texas to the final 4 while KD was bounced in the second round. I went Street over Clemens because of overall collegiate career accomplishments over Clemens. Women: Cat Osterman, Madisen Skinner, Clarissa Davis, Sanya Richards Ross I think Booker could make a run for Davis depending on how the rest of her career goes. Coaches: Darrell Royal, Eddie Reese, Cliff Gustafson, Jerritt Elliott As much as I love Augie and his overall meaning to the sport of baseball I gave Cliff the nod here over him strictly based on performance at Texas.
  3. Borba to first, new guy to 3rd potentially because Borba isn't a good 3rd baseman. Flores is addition by subtraction as he was so bad hitting and defensively.
  4. Answered it above but you give Mac the start and 1 run through the lineup as long as her drop ball is low in the zone. If she cleans up like she did vs Tennessee then you let her go another. At any point if her drop ball starts elevate in the zone you talk to her and watch another batter. If it's still high then you pull and bring in TK. Have to give Tech a different look in this game to start to throw their hitters off and then you can bring TK in to throw them off again midway through the game.
  5. She hasn't pitched that much this WCWS though. Definitely think they give Mac the start though to give Tech a different look to start.
  6. I hope it doesn’t go down as 4th and 13 because that means no championship.
  7. Would definitely be awesome for the next game or two since it would be history making for Texas. @Bobby Burton
  8. Softball is without a doubt the most fun women’s sport
  9. Reese should have ear holed that batter and it would have been over on a double.
  10. 9.5 Obstruction 9.5.1 Obstruction occurs when: 9.5.1.1 A defensive player, neither in possession of the ball nor in the act of fielding a batted ball, impedes a batter’s attempt to make contact with a pitch or impedes the progress of any runner who is legally running bases on a live ball. It can be intentional or unintentional. 9.5.1.2 A defensive player, while not in possession of the ball: a. Blocks any part of the leading edge of first, second or third base or home plate (as defined); or b. Otherwise blocks the runner from advancing or returning to a base. 9.5.2 The defensive player is not considered obstructing if they are in possession of the ball or they are, in the judgment of the umpire, making a legitimate reaction to the trajectory of the ball after it is thrown. Notes: 1. Once in possession of the ball, the defensive player can be positioned between the runner and the base/plate. 2. Obstruction may be ruled even though there is no physical contact. 3. If in the umpire's judgment, the runner would have clearly been put out then the obstruction is ignored. 4. Obstruction can occur on a force or tag play.
  11. Depends on if UVA retains their hitting coach and hires him as HC
  12. I think it would need to be broken down more into Mt Rushmore for men’s sports, women’s sports, and coaches vince, Roger, and tj for men’s sports, Cat and Madisen Skinner for the women are all unequivocally on it. KD doesn’t make it imo coaches is the easiest with DKR, Reese, Elliott, and Augie could probably make a case for Gus over Elliott but you already have Augie for baseball
  13. As far as women's sport I think it's definitely pitcher. Also I think it would be great if Texas got Canady for next year and we throw Kavan/Canady and guarantee a title and potential repeat. As far as men's sports there is no position as important as quarterback in football.
  14. That’s an oxymoron lol
