    I don’t reject that idea. When I made that list it was criteria CDC has said he looks for in coaches. Frankly I think McCollum is a guy we should risk it for the biscuit on and give him everything he needs to be successful

    This is where I’m at. Young right guy so that way program is setup for years. Not a 60 year old who hasn’t coached or recruited in college since 2006. I posted earlier but apparent Otz buyout is only 4 million. find you a championship pedigree young collegiate coach and go that route.

    I’d wager again that the official comes back slightly under although he didn’t look as smooth.

    Not really. And he’s still been out of college for nearly 20 years so no thank you on the near 60 year old. Stevens like Donovan was a superior college coach to Snyder.

    Stevens performed better in post season while being 2 games below .500 while Snyder is 10 games below 500. Similar enough regular seasons.

    Certain names will always be mentioned by fans such as Jay Wright, Akina(for years in football, Urban Meyer in football etc. when you’ve had the success those 3 have had your name comes up. Quin is nothing special in college and nothing special in the pros.

    vs So lets not act like the people calling for Billy Donovan are so out of touch but calling for Snyder is some "expert X and O" basketball purest. It's night and day difference with Donovan being out of college for ~10 years vs a guy ~20 years removed from the college game when you throw in their performance in college.

    Are those not things to consider when paying premium dollar for your next HC? If we're going to be on message boards discussing pros and cons of every candidate as you have done as well those two things are definitely worth noting.

    He's drifting down the lane costing him some time. I wonder what the official will come back as? I'd bet he's slightly faster than the unofficial time considering he ran the same exact time twice and didn't get slower.

    Golding is sub .500 in conference at UTEP and barely above .500 at ACU(.511)

    Blue has been recorded at over 22 MPH multiple times in games. I think he can definitely run in 4.3's but I'm not sure he gets in the 4.2's. If he does It would be a 4.28-4.29. Bond I think runs 4.27-4.32 range.

    I don't think the plan was to never support RT. If RT was giving us better results he'd be better supported but unfortunately he's dwindled each year. You are trying to make so many excuses for why he failed but reality is he's just a bad HC but a good assistant. It's as simple as that and your boogey man story is a good story and I hope it makes you feel better saying it. He had his shot and many coaches do more with less than RT has had.

    No, Sark and people around the NIL had convince people to put up the money for Simmons. He is amongst the highest paid non QB's in all of college football. This is truths, not opinions. Like I said before if Sark was 8-4 he isn't getting the resources he's getting. He's coming off the semi-final(2023 season) with a team he built from nothing. Where as RT is the inverse of that. Took over a great roster and results and roster have fallen. This team has enough talent to not be as bad as they are, that is 100% on Rodney Terry coaching. Can't expect BMD's to throw their own personal money blindly at a coach and also call on them a year later to pony up buyout money for him/new coach. CDC/our NIL chose properly as RT will never, ever win anything of consequence at Texas or any other program he has been or may become the HC of.

    Top 5, top 10....either way the standard is the standard and I fully expect him to hire a coach to get us to that standard this time around!
