  1. If you blink, breathe, or talk on stream today I'll know it's Texas.
  2. Ben McCollum tier 1 for Indiana!
  3. Disagree. She’s the caliber of player you could win multiple championships with
  4. Right now I estimate his buyout to be about ~$4.5 million. If it is structured like most other coaches in the industry I think that value goes down after a specific date, usually April 1 through June 1. I don't know the specific terms of that buyout but I'd imagine after a target date post season into the spring that buyout drops from that ~$4.5 million to something like ~$3 million
  5. Then raise ticket prices if need be, so long as we produce winning basketball fans will pay the cost. I just think in revenue sharing era CDC cannot and will not allow the second biggest generator of revenue struggle because of money. I think he'll open the rolodex and do what needs to be done to get a dang good basketball coach. He needs basketball to be a top 10 product to increase revenue as much as possible. Perhaps I'm naïve about the whole thing but RT wasn't a typical CDC hire due to non-typical circumstances and we were able to save a lot of money by not having to pay Beard's buyout.
  6. They make money, yes. If they were winning and had full house and Moody rocking they'd make even more. You have to spend to make IMO. Settling or constraining the hiring because of initial dollars is a recipe for mediocrity.
  7. Yeah his outburst the past couple of years seems misplaced. I don't think he'd be the best fit either. Love his energy just wish he'd put out more positive energy.
  8. Ohio St fans aren't happy with him and he just cost them one of the top DC's in the country.
  9. Wonder if your date is something like that is when you can officially start setting up the contracts or whatever but payments will start on the January date she referenced? I do like that I am hearing Texas One Fund will still function in terms of NIL for athletes to sweeten pots and keep Texas at the top of the chain when it comes to revenue sharing and NIL opportunities.
  10. According to the UTSA AD revenue sharing will most likely be approved April 7th with January 1, 2026 being the start date.
  11. He never said UT wouldn't match. He said in the past they haven't. This isn't the past and CDC needs basketball to be a top 10 program for revenue generation with revenue sharing. I think we will see the investment because of that reason alone. With that said I don't think we'd go after a guy like Oats who just has an insanely high buyout. But a coach with a buyout in the 5-8(ish) million range is attainable.
  12. 1980 45x as many surgeries 1990 45x as many surgeries 2000 5.6x as many surgeries 2010 1.8x as many surgeries But here is the kicker, pitchers are throwing fewer pitches now they they were in the 80s, 90s, 00s, and even 10-15 years ago. It's definitely correlation to just gassing it down the pipe and not being conditioned to throw as much.
  13. Reporting on Twitter... Who will be our next safeties coach?
  14. I hate that baseball's version of the NBA 3 point is just throwing hard as you can and hope the other team doesn't hit homeruns.
  15. In reality it hasn't gone both ways. The most shocking victory in the past 15 years for us was the Charlie Strong upset.
  16. Those two wins are against the worst OU teams since John Blake. Bob Stoops worst team would beat both of those Oklahoma teams. But to the topic at hand... I view OU as our main rival in football but in all other sports I think A&M is our bigger rival.
  17. The thing about Shaka, Strong, and RT at Texas is they aren’t good. That’s it, nobody is saying anything about coach Flo.
  18. Calling Chicago style casserole
  19. No we're clearly a better basketball program.
  20. You can have your opinions but Texas is a top 15-20 program in terms of wins. It is what it is....unfortunately we haven't had the deep tourney runs we'd have liked(thanks a lot Melo) and a loaded USC team. You looking at programs through historical lenses in the NIL era is something. Oklahoma/Alabama football are struggling right now to keep up in that era.
  21. Just a top 20 player all time, multiple all-star caliber players, etc. But sure!
