We’ve already started using timeouts so another first down will ice the game. 3rd and 3, Nebraska pass complete for 7 yards. If the receiver goes down it’s game over but Aaron Ross dislodges the ball as soon as possession is established. Horns recover, get a couple first downs, and kick the game winning field goal.

The Mt Rushmore has three absolute locks that should be indisputable. Bobby Layne Tommy Nobis Vince Young are undeniable and should be on the list for any Longhorn fan or serious CFB onlooker. #4 is a tough call between Earl and Ricky, but I’d edge it to Earl ever so slightly.

The point is Jonah himself should make the sensible decision of choosing one. We all had to drop sports and ultimately retire from athletics. My decisions came during little league 😂. Congrats to Jonah for making it this far.

I believe Taylor Jungmann to be the best Longhorn pitcher this century (would you agree or disagree). I’m starting to think Dylan could vault himself into the top three conversation.

Thanks for the baseball coverage! The boys talked around and hinted at, but never directly said, what I’ve been thinking. ARod could be an outright liability at SS. I don’t have many concerns about this team, love the pitching for sure. But Rodriguez at Short and back of the lineup are two.

Move on, find a new story to write.

What is the fascination with super conferences? An expanded playoff with two super conferences is just more nfl’ing of the college game. The nfl sucks while college is totally awesome so these aren’t good developments.

That’s a good thing, not a bad thing.

The portal is littered with D2, D3, walk ons, and fringe D1 players cut from their previous squad. Those are the guys not finding homes and football just isn’t their thing. Guys who can play that get talked into the portal are still finding homes even if the grass isn’t greener. If you think that is a problem worth addressing I won’t argue that but there isn’t a big “homelessness crisis” due to the portal. The portal may be shining a light on the natural churn that always existed at the lower ranks of the sport.

So nobody who can play ball is getting left out. They might not be in a perfect situation nor make as much as they’d like but that’s different than the crisis mongers stating thousands of players are essentially homeless and wouldn’t be in a pre-portal world.

Somebody needs to walk me through this “crisis” and explain it to me like I’m three. Roster sizes haven’t shrunk, they’ve stayed the same while scholarship limits have gone up. The portal should be one big game of musical chairs with enough roster spots for everyone once the music stop. Who or how are all of these players getting displaced? Who are they being replaced by? D2 guys moving up? I have a suspicion that the portal is filled with guys that either got cut or are out of eligibility anyways and wouldn’t be on rosters even in a pre-portal world. Surely there are some that are currently overpricing themselves but they still have an opportunity to lower their demands and make a roster. Everyone who is viable will be on a roster. Where is the crisis?

4-8 would be preferred. 12 is already too many.
