    Whenever Texas goes after kids from California or Texas kids looking to sign with USC, do our coaches ever point out that any money made by signing with USC will be heavily taxed? Food and Fuel prices are astronomical compared to what other states have. I am surprised kids would sign with California schools. Whenever Texas host recruits they should have them sit through a 30 minute presentation by an economics grad student and show them how it makes little economic sense to go to school in a tax happy state

    My ancestry is primarily German and Scots, with pinch of English and Norwegian. Dad was a football coach. I was born in San Angelo. Lived in Sonora, Seguin, Midland and San Antonio. Currently living in San Antonio and other than the 5 years I spent in Austin for college, this is where I call home.

    Anyone notice the demographic change in the student body at the games? Longhorn football seems to be pretty big on the Indian subcontinent....which is cool with me! I love me some Nan Bread and Masala

    We punted four times for a 48 yard average. The punts were not pretty spirals, but they were effective. One of them basically flipped the field. Kudos to Michael Kern

    SEC officiating yesterday I was pleasantly surprised, despite learning that there may have been a missed fumble recovered by us. I don't recall seeing the replay on the Jumbotron and the crowd seemed to accept it was a good call, but people watching at home seemed to disagree. I must be suffering from PTSD after being in the Big 12 because I found myself looking for yellow laundry on the field after every explosive play by us. Officiating so far so good.
