    It did my heart good to see Lawrence Sampleton inducted last night. Lawrence played for my father in Seguin but before that he was my mother’s favorite students in class. Whenever we went to Texas games, we always made sure to say “Hi” to Lawrence. great athlete, but a better man! 🤘🤘🤘

    I have to say that Riley Pettijohn and Devin Sanchez are as good as advertised. They looked like vets out there and not freshman. It would be great if they ended up at Texas via the portal.

    Our win versus Ohio State somewhat overshadowed this major upset. Oklahoma State has 15 portal transfers from North Texas. In essence North Texas defeated Oregon. Think about it.

    I am curious to see how this team responds to such an emotional win. In the past, the "hangover" seems to come after a win versus Oklahoma. I remember only too well the lopsided loss to Arkansas after beating Oklahoma in 1981. That was our only loss of the year (we also tied UH). We will not lose to UTSA, however I am slightly worried that we might play sloppy...give up big yardage plays, penalties, etc...I hope we can maintain focus and keep grinding. On the flip side, how will OSU respond to such a devastating loss? Ryan Day and his staff have their work cut out for them...oh well, Screw'em!

    I was able to catch up a little with Bobby. That is always nice. My wife is still learning about my love of Texas football (She is from Mexico) but she is starting to get it. She spent some time coaching Volleyball in Monterrey, so maybe I will surprise her with a Texas VB this year. I have always been a fan of Malcolm Brown. When I was coaching, I had to scout a team that Cibolo Steele played. He was a man playing against children. One of my good friends was the defensive coordinator at Steele and always had great things to say about Malcolm as a person...he also coached the Sterns brothers (Jordan and Caden). Hopefully OTF will make more trips to SA
