  1. You take the good and the bad with Arch. This rep is one of the learning curves with a young QB. 3rd and 6 and there’s a wide open WR about 10 yards down the field yet the deep shot is taken into a hi-low coverage for an incompletion.
  2. Sarkisian on the bottle throwing. "We have a passionate fanbase and I think that showed Saturday night... I think we all just have to use better discretion."
  3. Steve Sarkisian says he does not believe Quinn Ewers' abdominal injury is affect him at all, but adds "is he 100%, I don't know."
  4. Sarkisian says Vanderbilt QB Diego Pavia is "the definition of grit."
  5. On the S room: Michael Taaffe and Jelani McDonald are more than likely our starters. Jordon Johnson-Rubell will get more looks on the field. Jahdae Barron is in play to get safety snaps for the Longhorns as well. Sarkisian says he believes he will be fine with the rotational defensively.
  6. Sarkisian: From here on out it feels like we are in a SEC Championship Game.
  7. Sarkisian says he could hear some of his leaders speaking up in the locker room prior to him walking in after the UGA loss on Saturday.
  8. Sarkisian says Trey Moore is a really versatile pass rusher off the edge. "His versatility is beneficial to us. His motor is beneficial to us." Moore leads the Texas EDGE room in snaps this season.
  9. Sarkisian says the sack-fumble off the blindside, it was a miscommunication off the backside that was not picked up. Sark: For all of the Monday morning quarterbacks who said Quinn was late with the football, they are incorrect.
  10. Sarkisian says a point of emphasis is getting back to the standard that was in place prior to the UGA game. Says it is the message of the team to playing their own style and brand.
  11. Sarkisian says he does not mind 3rd and mediums. (4-6 yards to go). It is more about execution, protection and winning routes. Sarkisian says he would like to run the football better than what they did on Saturday night against Georgia. "Ideally we have balance."
  12. DB Andrew Mukuba will be Questionable this weekend against Vanderbilt says Steve Sarkisian.
  13. On Ewers' mentality: Sarkisian says he was very clear with Ewers why he made the move before the end of the first half. "I think he is going to come out and play really good football for us in the 2nd half of the season."
  14. Sarkisian praises Vandy's complementary football approach. Vandy has the best T.O.P. in the SEC and has only turned the ball over twice in conference play. Texas ran 76 plays against Georgia. Alabama ran 48 plays against Vanderbilt. Next opponent ran 52 and then Ball State ran 60. To give an idea of possession.
  15. Sarkisian says he would much rather be knocked down in the 6th round than in the 12th round.
  16. Sarkisian says the execution was poor for the Texas offense. 2/15 on third downs 1/5 on fourth downs
  17. Sarkisian: "In the 2nd half, I was really proud of our players. They played better football."
  18. On why the Longhorns were unable to win on Saturday: Texas having 4 turnovers offensively which went to 17 UGA points and then forcing three turnovers and converting to just 7 points. Average drive start in the 1H for UGA was at their own 47 yard line vs. Texas' was at their own 23.
  19. Steve Sarkisian thanks Longhorn Nation in his opening presser.
  20. Let's get to it. Texas faces off with Vanderbilt this weekend and sits No. 5 in the latest AP Top 25.
  21. It's a tight throw no doubt. Though, one that a top 5 QB in CFB can make.
  22. Working to get the all-22 access.
  23. Why is Quinn looking parallel to the line of scrimmage already? No pressure, good pocket. There is no need to check down this early.
