  1. Consistency seeing Dia ranked top three. Love it.
  2. Johnson last visited Austin on April 12, for those wondering.
  3. The number of massive prospects brought in on the defensive side of the ball for Texas over the last two weeks has been spectacular.
  4. 2026 Miami (Fla.) Northwestern DL James Johnson to OV This Weekend Texas adds yet another massive front seven prospect to its official visit weekend with the re-addition of James Johnson to the list of official visitors. Johnson had previously been expected to take an official visit to Texas, and now he is fully expected to see the campus and city one more time. Other official visits for Johnson include: May 30 - Georgia June 6 - Miami June 13 - Florida June 15 - Florida State
  5. Definitely getting your money's worth on the road trips!
  6. A&M is making a play there too, as expected. The optics of Texas landing both Ojo and Turntine is not something A&M wants to see happen. Decision will come between the Aggies and Longhorns for Turntine.
  7. Chad Scott offered him while at WVU, fwiw. I understand the levels of RB recruiting between the two, yes. Plus, folks have wondered if there had been communication. Walker is definitely a P4-level back.
  8. For those wondering, Texas has not had communication with Georgetown RB Jett Walker recently.
  9. I don't see a way it's ever enforced. At least not truthfully.
  10. Came across this article and found it very interesting. There have been dollar amounts and reports regarding athletic departments across the country and what they have been spending since the calendar year began. Of course, the Houston Chronicle report about Texas Football comes to mind with how much the current roster spends, as well as the report that Texas Tech has a collective payroll of $55 million across all of its sports as well. Missouri is not a school competing for many national championships. Yet, the price tag remains very high. Football: T-3rd in SEC (5–3 record) M Basketball: 8th in SEC (10–8) W Basketball: 13th in SEC (3–13) Baseball: Last in SEC (3–27) Softball: Last in SEC (6–18) All this to say, this is the price tag in current athletics for an average athletics department.
  11. Starts by turning his baseball body into a football body. Work that must be accomplished in the next two months.
  12. Received a message yesterday in regards to the two-sport freshman who has joined the Longhorns for on-field summer workouts: "He is a freak." Williams was given some time to catch his breath following the conclusion of the Texas Baseball season, but is now with the football team for summer conditioning workouts. The early returns have been superb. The caveat added to my conversation was the focus on keeping him healthy is and will be a main focus for the staff.
  13. 2026 Clearwater (Fla.) OL Sam Roseborough has committed to Texas A&M. Texas hosted Roseborough for an official visit over the weekend, though as we have been mentioning here at OTF, the number put forward from the Texas side of things did not meet the number put forth out of College Station. Texas remains in a very strong position to build out its 2026 offensive line class.
  14. This will be one of those recruitments that will go to the wire. Texas gave him plenty to think about on his OV. I would suspect a decision before a return to campus, which does not bode well for Texas. But will that be his final decision? We'll see.
  15. We’ll see, Texas did a great job on the OV. I like where Texas sits.
  16. Fresh off of his OV to Texas. No Miami official visit and a decision to come this Saturday.
  17. QB position is safe under Sark.
  18. I am not expecting softball to be too active in the portal this summer. There just isn't a huge need numbers wise. Biggest thing is retaining the roster from poachers, so far they've done a great job at that.
  19. To add to Blake, this should be a good week for baseball portal news.
