    Wild to see a coach lead his current team to the best season they’ve had in a long time while being a potential “championship caliber” team with a real shot to win it depending on how the bracket falls for them….. only for the coach to take another job and just throw all that those kids work for down the drain.

    I just don’t understand how you look at Vandy next to us and ignore the head to head result…. They beat #22 Tennessee to end the year and we beat the #3 team if you are using recency views. Can’t tell me them beating Tenn was more impressive than us beating AnM, Oklahoma and Vandy lol but whatever. Nothing we can do now

    Anm, Vandy and blowU ahead of us even though we beat them while 2 of our losses are tot he number 1 and 3 team is wild….. it really sucks we slipped up versus Florida of all teams this year.

    I feel like NIL will get some extra funds knowing we gotta capitalize on the next two years while Arch is still here.

    Hopefully that translates to Saturday. We need a pissed off coach and a pissed off team that knows we can be better than we played Saturday and need to show it these last two weeks.

    Yeah I agree but also would say we’ve had top recruiting classes last couple years. Gotta win big games now to keep it going.

    I mean can’t really argue against them when they are in top 5 what seems like every year and won last year and sitting as the top squad this year we had shots to dethrone them and GA and failed. We need to win some of these head to head games on the field then it will help us in the recruiting game

    Growth as a QB to play at an elite level takes time. Sure there are rare occasions that freshmen and sophomore QBs play really well but for the comp Arch is playing against he is progressing and that’s all that should matter this year. Keep building and growing and let’s see how next year looks compared to this year

    This is what’s sad…. All 3 losses were with extra prep time. Then terrible execution. Losing to Oh St at their place gets a pass. Losing at FL in terrible fashion and then getting embarrassed in the 4th at GA hurts.

    I know it will obviously change between now and playoff time but if the bracket held up as is…… imagining a Texas vs Aggies semifinal for a spot in the national championship would be insanely crazy from a rivalry standpoint. maybe it’s the Texan in me but seeing us, Ags, Tech all doing well is cool to see for the state representation side. Not something I honestly expected to see shake out this year

    Me too. I thought that was a huge pick up for us. I wonder if it’s play call/design or merely the fact Arch hasn’t had much time to be able to find Endries that has hurt his production.

    After that beat down last night you knew this was gonna happen by the 4th quarter when the stadium no longer had any purple and gold in the stands

    I didn’t say anything about confusing Texas but mind games are part of sports. Make ya have to game plan around 2 qb’s instead of one kinda deal. our defense can handle whoever they throw at us, so I wasn’t worried about it but ya never know it could be a Seth Rollins move ha

    Exactly. This guy put them on the map and had solid teams for years….. hate to see a guy who built a program like he did honor like this. Regardless he won a natty or not, he made them competitive and respectable until NIL changed the game.

    This is what I was thinking. Act like he is injured so they have a crutch to stand on for if he plays terribly against us….. ya know cause he is “hurt or recovering”

    as big as we are, regardless of youth or inexperience..... at this level not being able to run the ball these first 3 games has been hard to watch when our QB needs some help and the run game just isnt there either

    I mean, of course he will be fine. It was his first game as full time starter and it was against a top 5-10 defense most likely this year that has been a tough defensive team for years. People beating him up just don’t understand the game is about learning and improving. He isn’t a senior that’s been battle tested who happened to just fall off talent wise over the summer. it wasn’t the game we expected or wanted, sure but we should know it’s gonna be bumpy and he needs some time.

    We knew it was going to be tough to go into their house on opening day, ranked ahead of them after they just won the natty. This was a tough one to watch but it was barely the first game. Plenty of time to learn and regroup.

    Both teams should be confident. Both teams should be ready. This is gonna be a good one. Atmosphere will be top notch since it’s the shoe and it’s a top 5 game to kick off the season. Cant wait for this one. Gonna be epic. Hook em!

    Yeah you know pops had to have said something. Kids will be kids but knowing he was brought up with a good life cause of what his dad did as a Longhorn should have led him to handle that differently. Live and learn…. Good luck to the kid. We’re good either way ye went imo
