  1. Pack gets rung up on a nasty breaking ball. Two on, two down, for Doza.
  2. Texas has no problem taking pitches and forcing Upchurch to throw strikes.
  3. Pack, BTW, came into today hitting .407 (24-for-59) in SEC play.
  4. Make it back-to-back walks as A-Rod takes first base. Two on, one out for Pack.
  5. Justin Lebron with a big league play deep in the hole at short to get Robbins at first base.
  6. Neal is thrown out at second by a mile trying to stretch a single into a double. A great throw by Pack ends the inning.
  7. Two up, two down via the strikeout for Harrison to open the game.
  8. Jahdae Barron just threw out the ceremonial first pitch.
  9. The fourth-ranked Longhorns go for the series sweep of the 11th-ranked Crimson Tide today at 1 p.m. on SEC Network Plus. It's a big start for Luke Harrison, who didn't make it out of the first inning in last Saturday's loss to Texas A&M.
  10. No matter what happened yesterday, it's a question mark until it's not.
  11. I'm impressed with the strides Sharma and Myron Charles have made. It has me looking forward to Justus Terry and James Johnson getting healthy.
  12. I could be wrong, but I'm not worried about Arch. At all.
  13. The pieces along the offensive line are better than what Texas had last season. We'll see how it translates when it matters.
  14. To your point, I had the same feeling some people get when they watch NFL preseason games. You've got to be really invested in your team to try and glean something from watching a lot of guys who might not contribute all that much during the regular season. Still, if Texas is going to play 16 or 17 games, you need quality depth at every position, so those snaps matter.
  15. Jake Collett (scholarship) and Spencer Barnett (walk-on).
