  1. Rachel Wells is the only Texas softball player in the portal, as far as I know.
  2. By and large, Texas has addressed the most pressing needs through the portal. They're not done looking though.
  3. I don't miss Manhattan, I can tell you that much. In all seriousness, an argument can be made that the 2025 road schedule is the toughest Texas has ever had to navigate.
  4. From UT: Texas Softball has signed transfer utility player Taylor Anderson to the roster for the 2026 season, head coach Mike White announced Wednesday. Anderson, who played her freshman season at Oklahoma State in 2024, will be immediately eligible with three years of eligibility remaining. The Dripping Springs, Texas, product appeared in 43 games with five starts at OSU in 2024. She hit .250 with a .438 slugging percentage and .368 on-base percentage in 16 at-bats, totaling four hits, 16 runs scored, one home run, two RBI and three walks. A top option on the base path for the Cowgirls, she was successful on four of her six stolen base attempts. She earned her first career start in left field against BYU on March 22, 2024, and launched a solo home run – her first career home run. In the rubber match against the Cougars on March 23, 2024, she went 2-for-2 at the plate with two runs scored while drawing a walk, reaching base on all three plate appearances. During high school, Anderson was a three-time all-state honoree, a District MVP (2022), a Texas Girls Coaches Association All-Star (2022) and a District Offensive Player of the Year (2021), leading Dripping Springs to multiple district championships. She also competed in track and field for Dripping Springs, winning bi-district titles as part of the 4x100 meter and 4x200 meter relay teams.
  5. Sark will have taken Texas into five of these 10 stadiums by the time the 2025 season is over.
  6. How about I buy you Bill Walsh's College Football on Sega Genesis?
  7. Aggies seem to be annoyed, which is nice.
  8. My all-time favorite egg-on-the-face moment in Spurrier's career was when he made the jump to the NFL. He said he wanted to make the Cowboys the "Georgia Bulldogs of the NFL." Spurrier's Redskins teams went 1-3 against Dallas. Bill Parcells would've made that record worse had Spurrier not resigned after two seasons.
  9. Spurrier has been taking swipes at the Manning family since before Arch was born. This is nothing more than Spurrier proving himself to be a habitual pot stirrer.
  10. I'm sure there's a Fox quota Joel has to meet for these types of content pieces.
  11. I respect him for not only bowing up to LeBron, but actively trying to throw hands with the face of the league. Every good team needs one of those guys who doesn't mind throwing down.
  12. I was reading some smoke(?) that the Sixers might be targeting Tre Johnson at No. 3, which is probably why I mindlessly typed that. Good looking out, ElCafetero!
  13. I couldn't believe this when I looked it up, but the Timberwolves own the Pistons' pick (No. 17) from a draft-day trade in 2020. The Pistons took Isaiah Stewart with that second first-rounder.
  14. Shades of Ray Allen, maybe, but I think Tre's ceiling is Michael Redd (before he wrecked his knees, obviously).
  15. The Wizards are picking in the No. 6 spot tonight.
  16. Or how high the heat gets turned up on Brent Venables' seat.
