  1. First away game is @ FSU in October, then they return home until November 1st when they take on SMU. Miami plays 8 of their 12 games at home, with only 3 being outside of state lines.
  2. From CBS Sports: Which of the 2024 CFP teams has the best chance to take the throne from Ohio State? Full article here: https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/texas-georgia-top-list-of-2024-college-football-playoff-losers-with-best-shot-at-winning-it-all-in-2025/
  3. Rise and shine, it’s Coffee and Football time! Join us this morning as we discuss the latest news regarding the Longhorns and take your questions. Show starts at 8:10 (or 8:15ish) AM, so we’ll see you there!
  4. And, again, thank you all for the continuous support. It means the world to all of us. We can’t thank you all enough. We’re in the process of sending out about 300ish thank you cards, but this is my big thank you card to the OTF board! I want to add that, somehow, despite not playing or lifting weights until the past couple of weeks… he’s throwing harder and faster than ever before. It’s the craziest thing I’ve ever seen. Noticeably harder. To the point where I’m about done playing catch with him. It’s insane. I don’t even know how that’s possible given the circumstances!
  5. Haha I showed her the thread. She now knows. He’ll be fully cleared for football in exactly 7 days, but she has about 6 months to prepare herself. He played JV this past season and is expected to play both ways (WR/flex TE and safety) on varsity the next two years. Obviously what happens in baseball going forward could change that. He’s also running track he told us today. The 800 and the mile. He must be a glutton for punishment.
  6. So many of you have been supportive since Colt’s football accident in November, along with the complications in December, and have asked non stop on how he’s doing. Today we reached a milestone. I posted this in the Alumni game baseball thread but wanted to put it here so everyone that’s been asking could see. November 5, 2024: Today, February 1, 2025: He took the field for the first time since the accident and played the entire game. He started at catcher and remained there the majority of the game, then finished out at shortstop. It’s absolutely insane to me that in less than three months we went from ICU and not knowing if he’d even make it (there for awhile it was looking grim) to now playing baseball and doing what he loves. Thank you all for your support, thoughts and prayers, and everything in between it means the world to my family and I. Krista and I both can’t thank you all enough. Now if anyone wants to help me tell my wife that he’s decided to play football again… that would really be appreciated. 😂
  7. I really wish I could have been there today and I planned on it. But it was amazing to get to see this today instead, especially after everything he went through from November 5 to right before Christmas… From not knowing if he’d ever play again to back in action today was incredible. About to tear up as I type this. Well worth missing today’s Alumni game. See y’all Feb 14th weekend in Arlington though!
  8. 100% agree. I think he’s one of the brightest minds in college baseball.
  9. Nothing of note at this time, unfortunately.
  10. Make that three. 3⬆️ 3 ⬇️
  11. Retired two so far. Had an MLB scout tell me that they’re very high on Moffett IF those control issues can get resolved. Right now he’s serving up a good mix of offspeed and high 90s FBs.
  12. About to see Aiden Moffett. His issue has been control up to this point.
  13. Great story by Trey Faltine on LHN about thinking he was going to get cut after his first alumni game.
  14. Very impressed with Riojas. There’s a reason that sources feel he’s the best pitcher on campus.
  15. This… esp farmer. He has a chance to be really good before he leaves imo.
  16. Not going to publicly state who he was working with last summer, as I was asked not to, but one of the best from a technical standpoint. Definitely going to dig deeper on the changes.
  17. Nasty slider from Howard to get Gasparino out. Speaking of Gasparino, I posted this on July 7: Curious to see how it pays off for him this season. Need to watch side by side to see what exactly has changed.
  18. Home from Colt’s first scrimmage of the year and watching on TV. Great crowd size it appears. Great weather. And a little too much on that throw from Galvan.
  19. As of right now they are not.
  20. Full draft: https://www.foxsports.com/stories/college-football/2025-nfl-mock-draft-first-round-arch-manning-all-underclassmen-eligible
  21. Early bird gets the worm. It's my quiet time. Kids and wife aren't awake. I can watch what I want, do what I want, etc... with no interruption.
  22. It’s the end of January and the end of your work week, so let’s cap it all off with some Coffee and Football beginning at 8:10 or 8:15 or possibly even 8:17 AM. Regardless of when it begins, we’ll talk all about the Longhorns and answer your questions.
