    They’ll still win 10+ regular season games and the conference championship because no one in the league can compete with them from a talent and NIL standpoint, but they’ll be one and done in the CFP again most likely.

    SEC on CBS was never the same after Verne Lundquist retired, despite Brad Nessler being a good announcer. SEC on CBS peaked for me when it was Verne Lundquist and Todd Blackledge. Verne was still in his prime and Todd was so much better than Gary at breaking down the game. Verne’s last 5 or 6 years were rough to listen to as he had lost his fastball at that point.

    100% agree with the second and fourth paragraphs. It may not seem like a big deal, but breaking through and winning it all can change the momentum of your program. This is what might have happened to Mike White and softball if they had not won the natty last season. He's getting criticized but nowhere near the level it would be if they had not won it all. You keep getting close and getting close and not breaking through. That affects the momentum of your program.
