  1. Is it safe to assume that Texas is in the top tier when it comes to NIL resources for both baseball and softball?
  2. I believe that with Kessler withdrawing the lawsuit that sought a temporary injunction on his eligibility, he reverts to being ineligible under the NCAA's original ruling.
  3. Well we kept asking who was going to be the adult in the room at Texas Tech. Turns out it was Sorsby, not the five stooges on that video Tech released.
  4. Well seems like this will be an easy choice for Fight of the Night.
  5. I figured the production would be good since UFC has its product down to a science, but this has far exceeded my expectations.
  6. One can hope someone steps in and says Sorsby won't play this year, but I'll believe it when I see it. With Texas Tech speaking on July 7 at Big 12 Media Days, things could get interesting—and Joey can't cancel those.
  7. The Oklahoma Attorney General has now weighed in on the matter.
  8. I wasn't familiar with the Dakota Allen situation, so I looked it up. Absolutely terrible luck for him, there's another person with the exact same name who was accused of some horrific things in 2025. Unfortunately, the AI overview lumps them together, making it seem like they're the same person. AI overview fail.
  9. Oh great, they're putting monitoring apps on his phone.haha At this point, he already knows that trying to log into PrizePicks is what alerted authorities in the first place. From everything that's been reported, it sounds like many of the wagers were allegedly placed through third parties, with him sending them large sums of money and having them place the bets. If that's the case, how does monitoring an app on his phone prevent that from happening again? Are they going to monitor every phone call and text message too?
  10. Ohio State Melo thats in the chats said tonight that he's also hearing Currie commitment to Texas is happening any time now.
  11. Did I miss something or did the majority of people involved in the Penn State scandal not get fired?
  12. At the 8:40 mark, Cody Campbell makes the statement: "They(Texas Tech) have a contract to not only pay him, but to play him. So how do we not play a kid when we're contractually obligated to do so and a court has ruled that he's eligible to play?" Maybe I'm flat out wrong but it would be shocking to me if NIL agreements actually contained provisions requiring a player to be given playing time. Coaches make lineup decisions all the time, and I can't imagine a contract legally obligating a school to put a specific player on the field.
  13. Not a bad watch, it does have some edits(about 4 within the first 12mins)Kinda wonder what was edited out and why. Also there is a comment on it that makes me wonder, is there possibly any crimes they are looking into.
  14. Same parents that helped him place thousands of bets???haha
  15. I don't know, but the release of this statement and Joey canceling his press conference make it seem like they're starting to feel the pressure from all of this. Now it's just a matter of seeing what, if anything, comes from it.
  16. I agree with you for the most part on this. But isn't Yormark's position, like any conference commissioner role, an elected position by the teams in the conference? If that's the case, and all but one school are unhappy with how he handles this situation, you would think there would at least be a mechanism for the schools to push for a change. It's hard to imagine a commissioner keeping a $4 million-a-year job if the overwhelming majority of the conference believes he's mishandling a major issue.
  17. I'm confused, didn't Finebaum say in an interview that a few game suspension would be the correct call?
