    Since we’re talking offense…. Interesting stat: since joining the SEC Texas home:away point differential on offense is 15 points! Perhaps Sark should have recruited an OC instead of (or at least in addition to) a DC in the off-season.

    Agree, it was a HUGE call at that point in the game. The INT likely would have sealed the game.

    Being both HC and OC/play caller is too big a responsibility in POWER 4, especially in the SEC - and especially at TEXAS, where the off-field duties seem to never end. An average-to-good OC/play caller addition would make a huge difference IMO.

    If an elite QB is required to have a consistently good offense then that tells me the play caller is sub-par.

    Sark is who he is. He’s an X’s and O’s guy and good recruiter. He’s not the fiery coach who can get everything out of 18-21 yr olds. And yes, teams take on the coach’s personality- see Muschamp’s D in contrast to Sark’s offense. Kirby, Saban, Day, Meyer all emphasized - and demanded - physicality in all 3 phases of the game. This is a game of imposing your will, not X’s and O’s.

    Agree! Been against the committee since it was announced. The BCS formula might have been flawed but no system lacks flaws. There needs to be a TRANSPARENT formula that doesn’t depend on human whims and biases. And first and foremost head-to-head results MUST take precedence.

    UGA is a complete team. They don’t, however, always ‘show up’ with their A game. But in big games that matter they will show up.

    Never a waste when you beat all 3 rivals. And aside from that it’s still not a waste. Quite a few young players have gained experience and developed their skills. This will indeed impact our team next year.

    Well said. Great to hear from fans who take a bigger perspective. Yeah it’s great to win championships, but it’s supporting your team through thick & thin and enjoying the competition of each game that brings the enjoyment.

    As HC and OC Sark is not being his best at either. If he wants to remain HC and do what’s best for the program he needs to delegate play calling. This does not mean he relinquishes oversight of the game plan each week or the prerogative to override calls in crucial in-game situations. But a dedicated OC/playcaller is able to focus 100% on the offense during the week and in-game. It must be done to reach our ceiling - both offensively and overall.
