    Texas had him No. 4 when the portal opened, as a player. They just liked three others more, but he's a quality ILB with football smarts/savvy.

    No. Texas just has others they like better. He was NO. 4 on the initial LB list when the portal opened. But Woodyard is also a very good player.

    Kicker Gianni Spetic commits to Texas Memphis transfer kicker Gianni Spetic announced on X he has committed to the Texas Longhorns. The 6-foot-3, 210-pounder out of Chardon (Ohio) Notre Dame Cathedral connected on 15 of 20 FG's, including 4 of 5 from 50+ in 2025. He kicked for two years at Ohio U. prior to transferring to Memphis for the 2025 season. Spetic lettered multiple years in football, baseball, soccer and basketball in high school.
