    The best loss in Red River history for the Texas Longhorns football program. Since that game, Texas has a record of 20-4 and OU has a record of 10-10. Sark was really playing chess with Venables. Got himself paid and got the rival HC paid too. Now the rival HC's buyout is so big it's hard to move on from BV, even if they defecate the bed in 2025.

    Honestly, I'd love for Murray to remain OU's RB coach. He was an excellent RB at OU (that hurdle in Dallas back in '07 still gives me nightmares) and the NFL, but it hasn't translated to his coaching career. Lotta OU fans calling for his head. I hope Dallas goes a totally different direction in their RB coach search tbh

    Texas will get their guys. They play the long game in recruiting. Just had the #1 recruiting class. In the NIL era, winning out on any top tier prospect is a crapshoot. Texas will have another top 3 class and finally have the talent and depth of peak Bama, Georgia, and Ohio State going into what could be a special 2026 season. Won’t worry about this until December.

Hope they pay up to keep Day from going to the NFL and this scenario happening, or let him walk and cite his 4 game losing streak in "The Game" as the reason why, despite winning almost 90% of his games as a HC? Caleb Downs and Jeremiah Smith, come to the 40.

    Agreed. CDC sold me even more when he pulled Schloss from A&M. Shows he's really is willing to go all in to make every sport on campus championship caliber. He makes the right hire for men's basketball, and he might wake a sleeping giant. Glad you mentioned Florida because prior to this century, they had basically no history in men's basketball save a few seasons in the 90s.

    This is why leadership at the top is so important. Very thankful to have Sark, CDC, the soon to be departed Hartzell, Eltife, and the BMDs all aligned and on board with building the best CFB program in the country.

    At least the Longhorns aren’t making coaching decisions like the Cowboys. Sark is a smart man for not entertaining that opportunity. He and CDC know how to pick’em.

    Probably not because Flood and Sark don’t want any portal OL, but another OT would be nice for depth and competition.

    I would imagine Michigan would be a slight favorite, especially if Underwood lives up to the hype and Martindale's defense looks like it did the last few games, but yeah that's pretty wild.

    Agreed. Love the stormtrooper look, but if Texas is considered the "home" team in neutral site games, they should wear their burnt orange jerseys. 2009 Fiesta Bowl comes to mind as a good memory of Texas beating Ohio State for me.
