    Never seen the SOS you posted, but Sagarin has been doing this for 25+ years and his model usually predicts opening lines within a point. Jeff Sagarin's College Football Ratings Before today's game, he has CU as 26th in SOS and Michigan State as 28th. That's the thing about data - it often points you to counterintuitive perspectives. Also, given there are 264 teams in these rankings, is the difference between 26th and 28th even significant? No, it's not. Is the difference between 44th and 59th even significant? Probably not. PS - Sagarin has Arizona State as only a 7pt dog on a neutral field vs TEXAS 🤷‍♂️

    For the first game, I would start at Scholz on the south side of the stadium. They always have pre-game stuff going on. Scholz Garten From Scholz, you walk through a ton of tailgating on your way to the stadium, then walk through Bevo Blvd and east up to the LBJ Library for the pre-game concert (OTF's tailgate is usually up there). This will give you a sense of the old-school (Scholz and southside tailgates) and new-school (Bevo Blvd) pre-game scene. Go grab a burger at Dirty Martin's after the game (or maybe Crown & Anchor). Dirty Martin's Place Crown & Anchor Typically tailgates will be going by 10am. Bevo comes in the south entrance at 11:45.     I guess it's also important to point out that we're competing in a more sports than most universities in the NIL landscape. Football, Mens and Womens Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Volleyball, T&F, S&D, we invest to compete for national championships in all of those programs. My monthly donation pays for maybe a couple of chick-fil-a meals, but we make it nonetheless.
