  1. Oh right sorry, I misunderstood what you said. Where did Parr end up anyway? I completely forgot about him.
  2. Who are you talking about here, Mills or Fasusi? I don't think either one of those guys was coming to Texas, unfortunately.
  3. I disagree, he was a liability a lot but his experience/communication was a huge factor. Something they could've gone to the portal to get from an experienced C. If they weren't going to go in on other guys, you could've just left Hutson at LG and brought in an experienced C until Cruz is ready to go.
  4. That view of the OL from behind is just...wow. How are they all just whiffing on easy blocks? Stroh looks so weird moving out there and not to mention how often they just let guys go straight pass them, without even so much as getting a hand on them. I refuse to believe Flood is this bad at coaching OL. Another factor, is that Hutson isn't a C. We all thought he'd be better there, but he just doesn't have the strength or communication to play C. He might've whiffed as much as Stroh did. Also agree that deep dive with Paul and Ian, I think it was? That was actually really good. I don't typically watch a lot of their content but it came across my feed today.
  5. Seems odd that he was the #1 pass blocking G when the whole OL wasn't that great, but that's good for Campbell. I shudder to think what any of their run blocking #'s looked like though lol.
  6. Apparently the kid from USC that ended up at Oregon is the top graded G on PFF, I saw someone post that in another thread.
  7. To be fair to Florida, they played some tough teams and played them pretty close. So I'm not sure they're as terrible as we all seemed to think. But to your point, they're not a top tier program with Napier and the domination was a surprise. I know their OL was supposed to be one of the best in the SEC, if not the country but their DL was missing 3 guys, including their best one. Their Edge group was missing a guy and the group overall hadn't performed very well. Even missing a starter in the secondary. Not sure what we did for 2 weeks, but it certainly wasn't get ready to play Florida in The Swamp.
  8. I don't understand the change from his perspective? Ass you said, these are college kids not NFL pro's. They still need you to stay on top of them and make sure they're doing what they need. To stay motivated, etc. I know everyone likes to rag on you for keeping it real but this does seem to be true. This team seems to just be casually strolling through the season and it worked against G5 teams. not so much against P4 teams. If this is indeed how he's approaching things, that is concerning and I've no idea why he decided this is the way to do things. Is this also the reason he kept guys out for so long, that could've played?
  9. They also have a kid from Texas State on their OL, too. Seems like we either didn't evaluate that hard or look much at all. Even the kid from Rice who's now riding the bench at Ohio State would've been an upgrade at T. Seems like this off-season that might be something to watch with only one portal window.
  10. So, what is the fix for this? Is it Arch in general or is it his development has been lacking? I'm a bit confused on that part. Not sure if he's just flustered or if he really isn't seeing these things. I remember that play against UTEP or one of those teams, where it was an out route (I think) to Livingstone on a 4th down in the red zone and he rolls out and is starting right at Livingstone who's open for the 1st down and he keeps staring him down and then reverses field and throws an INT straight to a DB in the end zone. That was such a bizarre play by him. While I don't think he's the biggest problem on this team, his development compared to say a Julian Sayin or that kid Kiffin has at Ole Miss who was a d2 or d3 QB, is baffling to me.
  11. This is true, if Cristobal doesn't got to Miami with his OL coach who's still with him there, Banks and Williams stick with their Oregon commits, imo. Not only is Brockermeyer starting at C, he's excelling there.
  12. We've seen for 5 weeks now, this OL continue to struggle. No push against UTEP, SJSU or SHSU. That should've been a warning sign going off in the coaches minds. But because we put up yards and won those games, it slipped past. Even Stevie Lee kept saying so on the live streams, that the OL and DL's are getting pushed around and not playing well. How did the coaches see that and think that everything was fine? I'm not completely sold on Arch, but he's not the biggest problem, imo. Seems almost like Sark completely changed his scheme/offense for this year, thinking he had what he wanted in Arch? I'm not really sure, it just feel different and it certainly looks different. Don't get me wrong, Sark's O has been less than impressive for most of his tenure but this year, I don't even know what to call it. At this point, they might as well just go 5 wide and let Arch be your RB lol. Just joking, but if they want to have more success, he needs to get Endries more involved in the O and stop having so many long developing plays, you don't have the OL to hold up and it's causing Arch to hold onto the ball too long. Get your guys the ball and let them make plays. Screens, hitches, slants, etc. They have to find a way to move the ball more consistently. Give your OL a chance and help them out. Make the reads easier for Arch because for being a QB guru, Sark sure can't see that he is struggling at times to read whatever it is he's calling. It almost feels like he reverted back to his '22 self and started using that playbook again.
  13. Doesn't Sark always say the TE is the second most important part of his O after the QB? So why has Endries only got 9 catches on the year? He had a game where he had zero catches. It feels like he's barely been involved. If they want to win this game, they better bring some physicality, some attitude and something different on O. Knock off the long, slow developing plays. Get some quick easy screens, slants, hitches and bang it out. Helps the OL, helps Arch and help the WR's/TE's. As for the run game, boy I've no idea how to fix that. Too much finesse and not enough punch you in the mouth attitude from these guys. Whether that's Flood or Sark, who really knows. Let your boys roll downhill and use that size. Right now they look very soft and that itself is confusing.
  14. Honestly maybe they should just scrap the whole OL outside of Goosby? Chuck Brooks in at RT, Kibble in at RG, Robertson or Cruz in at C and Neto in LG. Why the hell not, can't be any worse lol.
  15. That's the most confusing part, right? How in the hell are we not able to get any pressure? Even against the g5 teams we played, they still struggled. Makes no sense. We're too reactive instead of being proactive on D. I know PK doesn't like to blitz, but you need something. Way too much talent there for them to be THIS bad.
  16. Sorry I meant to say do we really think he is an issue. But I don't disagree, seems like outside of the RB coach, everyone's job might not be safe on that side of the ball.
  17. You're not the first person to say this, I don't know much about S&C, do we really think he is the issue?
  18. Pretty much nailed everything I would say. Coach Sark needs to really think about his staff at the end of the year. Not talking about a complete clear up but if he doesn't hire a better OL coach, that is a travesty. If anyone is asking for more NIL after the showing this season, tell them to take a hike, imo. It seems as if the teams has regressed. We're 6 weeks in now, this team isn't going to drastically improve. This is who they are. Coach Sark definitely overestimated what he had. Top 10 roster in the country, but they certainly don't play like it.
  19. We thought we had a good thing with PK now, Nansen, too. But how can you have this type of edge rush talent and you're not getting any pressure? Why are we not blitzing Lagway and making him uncomfortable? This has been a pattern this year so far. No pressure on opposing team QB's. I thought it was because we're playing "vanilla" but I think it just means we're not as good as we thought that we were. It's a big shock to me considering the supposed talent. My thinking is, considering this is week 6, that it's who we are this year. We had a couple of good years but we've come crashing back down to reality.
  20. Okay, I went back and looked at the stats here. He had 14 tackles (Hill) but it it felt like you barely noticed him lol. I'm going to need to do another watch through.
  21. We definitely should've gone all in on that kid from USC that's at Oregon and the Rice transfer that is at Ohio State, both of those guys would've started for this team. There was also experienced C's that we didn't even go after in the portal. I'm not sure that Sark and Flood really thought about that or maybe Sark just blindly trusted Flood to get it done? I'm not sure, seems like a complete failure on both of their parts. Same with RB. They could've grabbed the guy that's at Missouri or Miss State both of those guys are better than any RB on our roster, imo. I know people will say we can't get everyone but when you need help on that side, you don't take no for an answer.
  22. It feels like PK regressed a bit in this one. Maybe it's the new DB coaches? Who knows. But he's not very good at dialing up pressure with the talent he has there. I thought he was just taking it easy for several weeks but that really is the D we have and they aren't as good as we assumed. So if our O is dog water and our D is overrated, that's not a good recipe for success.
  23. Even at 100% he's not t hat great of RB, imo. He's a good RB but that's about it. But him and the OL combined were not good, at all.
  24. Wisner had a run of 6 yards. Which was more than half of his total yards.
