    It's not just his grandfather that has said this, his dad and even his uncles have said similar. No reason for him to rush to the NFL.

    Texas goes undefeated and wins the Natty, Arch wins the Heisman and we end up with the #1 class. Full on burnt orange kool aid hot take lol.

    It's fair to assume that, but his family doesn't want him to rush the NFL, they've said this before. They want him to start multiple years in college. We'll see what happens.

    That's just the media creating hype around the draft, lol. His family has always said they want him to stay in college and grow, there is no rush for him to get to the NFL.

    I haven't looked into it much, but has there been any word on Fasusi? He getting reps with the 1's or anything?

    Nah you don't understand man, Elko gunna get them to the national championship this year and win the SEC. Book it. LOL

    I would not be putting that out onto social media, all of their clips look terrible lol.

    Pettijohn was a huge miss, but I think with Atinkinson in the '26 class, they more than made up for that. Both will be great players in college and likely in the NFL.

    Well that would've been nice in the red zone when he was at Texas...lol. Just playing, glad to see him doing well out there and making the most of his opportunities. Hope he kills it in the NFL. Maybe in 10 or so years, they'll be talking about him like they did Brady.

    You pretty much hit the nail on the head there. If that does end up happening, it has us with McDonald and Taaffe as starting S's, until Williams is good enough to return. McDonald is too good to keep sitting on the sidelines. Either way the competition is healthy and pushes everyone to keep working hard. Was even talk of Taaffe coming down to play nickel, which would have us with Williams/McDonald at S.

    I've no problem with it and it doesn't worry me. My only "problem" with it, is how does Ohio State, the national champion, not start at #1? That's how I think these polls should go.

    I mean they should just let everyone do Spring ball and start now. Seems silly to keep separating the two, imo. But it is exciting. Permian vs Plano week 1, as someone put it on the 6a forum "The battle of the has beens" lol.

    I'll be honest, I don't watch any women's sports and I barely watch most men's sports lol. But good for you, I guess?

    What was impressive about the Burke play, is if he had missed, Broughton was right there in the backfield to stuff that lane. But yeah, that was another game that we made closer than it needed to be and probably closer than the final score indicated.

    Ah, good looking out there. I wasn't sure if they grabbed guys out of the portal at OL.

    Well, I don't recall them picking up any dudes in the portal for the OL, but they usually recruit OL really well. But that is actually a good question. Does anyone return from last years starting 5 for them? I know we're replacing 4 guys, but 2 of the 4 have starting experience and one other is going on year 4 in the program. So I'm pretty confident in our guys.

    I'm not worried about the DB's. Tons of talent waiting in the wings for their chance to get a spot. McDonald, Guilbeau have experience. Muhammed is that guy. Taaffe is our boy. Now they just need to pair with someone at S. I'm certain Williams will earn his way back, but I think there's a few guys there that could push in (one being McDonald) and the other likely Filsaime. Can't forget a guy like Black at CB. Most of these guys have some experience and I think we'll be fine. But that's just my burnt orange glasses on take, lol.

    That's fair, I didn't follow his recruitment that closely. In fact I try to stay out of recruiting because it can be very hard to keep up with lol. In saying that about his size, the guy we got doesn't seem that big and he seemed to be split out a lot at Cal. I think Endries is like 6'4 237?

    Yeah, see that makes a lot of sense right there. I remembered it had something to do with the more than just money. Sometimes being closer to family is more important.

    Honestly? Yeah. This is what I've been saying. They'll still be a tough out at their place but they're not even close to the same squad they were last year. It's why I was confused the TE picked there over Texas. Not even sure that was a money thing either.
