  1. This is also true but he isn't the only one doing that. He also is very slow on his feet.
  2. I don't know about that, he doesn't get to decide who plays or not, I've liked the small sample size from Neto. Stroh is good, too, just think he needs to have a bit more work.
  3. I don't think Neto has really had a proper chance, tbh. But they need to figure this out before SEC play starts, imo. Same with Baker, he really needs to elevate his game.
  4. I've been hearing talk about how well Nate Kibble played, not sure if that's a reasonable solution but if Stroh can't get his play elevated, the job should go to Umeozulu.
  5. If this game is 21-17, the season outlook is no where close to what it should be and the team is not t hat deep or talented.
  6. More consistent on O, better play from the OL, WR's running better routes and perimeter blocking, TE's more involved. Keep the penalties down. Defensively, let's get after UTEP a bit and let the boys do their thing. Tighten up the coverage and don't get lazy just because you're playing SJSU or UTEP. KEEP.YOUR.FOOT.ON.THE.GAS....sorry..but seriously lol.
  7. 55-6
  8. I truly think that it was Notre Dame that was trying to lure Ewers to come play there. Maybe he should've gone? Who knows, not sure he really fits their offensive style but what do I know? Could've been Oregon, he would fit that offense more than Notre Dame's, imo.
  9. The problem is, can you rely on a portal transfer at QB all the time? What happens when the guy you get doesn't work out or gets injured? I can see the pro's of it but the cons are also there for that deal. Mateer looks pretty good so far against sub-par teams. Even this years Michigan team looks worse than last years. Outside of Mateer they have nothing offensively and their OL isn't all that great. Even their D that was hyped up isn't that impressive. Anyway, it's a good conversation starter, that's for sure.
  10. One thing I've learned is to stay out of the game threads. I've no problem with people reacting to stuff as it's happening, that is normal. But it personally does my head in lol. Now I just watch the games and react afterwards.
  11. "Wasn't t hat a great play?" - Yeah, it sure was...whatever they did, great stuff...lol.
  12. I don't remember us recruiting Smith? But I know we wanted Moore and Williams.
  13. Why does this name seem familiar?
  14. Maybe he was listening to Gerry's Tushy ad read?
  15. Yeah Arch's shoulder is definitely hurt, in fact it's so hurt the player after this grimace everyone keeps posting about was one he ripped down field to Butler, wasn't it? If he was hurt, you would know about it.
  16. Literally, that's it. He was good at using the talent that Giles brought in, but he left the room bare.
  17. I've no idea how we missed out on him, seemed like we had it locked in and then Oregon dropped in and said "have you heard about Nike?" and boom he was gone.
  18. I'm not going to lie, I was so disappointed. I started yelling "Blake noooo, whyyy." lol.
  19. I've actually been wondering about that. Who do you even replace someone like Sark with, if he does go to the NFL like some people suspect he wants to. That's always tough to do, huh? I'm not really in the know when it comes to good coaches and all that, except the obvious ones out there.
  20. Just to be serious for a second, I would like to see a bit more out of our pass rush, considering how talented that room is. Even with a vanilla defense, we should still have been all over SJSU, sack wise. We'll see moving forward but I'm expecting big things from that group this year. Simmons needs to stop trying to do too much and just go with the flow.
  21. I love that Schloss has gone hard on Pitchers this time around. He's determined not to be short handed this year. I think he'll make a playoff run this time, but that's just my uneducated two cents.
  22. Also, I agree with everyone about Steve Patterson, that guy ruined a lot. No mistaking that. But you can't deny that while Mack had some great seasons, he did under perform, for his talent level, etc. Though Mack was never a great X's and O's guy, he was a good leader and program builder at Texas. I'm not sure Saban would've made much of a difference with the leadership around Texas at that point. I'm hoping that we're determined to NEVER let it get to that point again.
  23. After that Natty loss to Bama, he was never really the same, for some reason. But we're always thankful for him for that 2005 title and recruiting Vince Young. Though he could've definitely had a few more under his belt before that, imo. Either way, I'm fine with him hanging around. Although if he starts talking about coaching again...lol.
  24. Well they have to collapse first before you start poaching their players man lol. We all thought he would flop last year and they managed to pull it together.
